Shouldn't be too surprising. He was a rotation player on a nearly 60 win pace team last season. Good stretch fours tend to be pretty useful and the impact metrics I've seen tend to like Niang.

Maybe my biggest criticism heading into last season was that we didn't acquire a stretch four to replace Mike Scott, who was predictably not worth a rotation spot last season. Niang is a pretty big upgrade there.

Ehh, at least for one night, the bench looks real good. That was a huge problem the last 25 seasons.
