Very interested in the Twolves game today. Shannon was my pick at 16 before McCain.

McCain got the prototype Gordan to Lowry upside and he gets to learn from them daily. Great pick up. Also, he gets Cam Paynes spot. He can handle it ..

I'm just going to keep telling myself it's just 1 summer league game; but Terrance Shannon dropped 25 on 14 shots.

He better look better than McCain right now. He's the oldest dude in summer league that's not on the Sixers roster!

Isn't that the whole point thought? lol

again people overreact to summer league every year.

older players should not look like total poop...for the younger guys its about looking like you belong and aren't overmatched.

I am not going to act like I have been super into these games lol (life stuff is kicking my ass atm) but from what little I did see...McCain got good shots...just missed them....which in a make shift team setting can happen.

I do worry about the upside tho and feel like similarly ranked guys in his age range have more upside (Collier and Walter for example) so there is that lol.

You can tell the best upside for McCain would be TJ with better shooting or Tyus Jones

If our intent is to showcase McCain's strengths in the summer league, we can move him to the point guard position, allowing him to rack up assists due to his ability to generate gravity with his shooting off a 2 man game and rebounding skills. However, our primary focus should be on developing him into a proficient shooter off the screen in half-court and transition catch-and-shoot scenarios.

Size isn't a concern for McCain as his shot is rarely, if ever, blocked, and he knows how to use his body to shield his shots when finishing at the rim.

Defensively, since we are running a heavy zone defense, it's challenging to accurately assess his man-to-man defense capabilities.

Alex Sarr appears to have a better shooting touch than Evan Mobley, but he is not suited to play center. However, his shooting ability might allow him to effectively play alongside a non-floor-spacing center.

Bub Carrington, Alex Sarr and Risacher all looking good this game. But Edey is still king.

Bub Carrington is impressive, no wonder Wiz got out of their way to get him.

its early and summer league doesn't tell you everything but it feels like this draft will have a bunch of solid pros at the very least

As for the refs, I'd like to see them call the jaywalking style moving screens every big on Utah does this entire game.

I know Dowtin is getting his tonight; but I really don't see his game translating to the regular season. He's a G-leaguer level player.

::EDIT:: They need to lose RJ's plane ticket to Vegas.

Im excited to see Yves Missi play and see how big is the difference between Bona and Missi.

Not much.

Daron Holmes is out for the season with Achilles injury. I thought he played well, shot 3/3 from 3.

I'm ready for the Anthony Black breakout season. Magic are going to be the feistiest playoff out among the non-contenders.

Bub riders looking great after game 1. Surprised to see him fill the stat sheet when the biggest criticism of him in college was he did the exact opposite.

Very impressive. Should have been number 2 after Edey in my mock.
