I don’t think that’s gonna happen… but mentioning it just in case.

What's the deal with the first apron and buyout guys? Do you just need to be below before the signing or after?

I assume it should be after but don't know. Should go ask the AI lol.

Update: Claude says you need to be below the 1st Apron both before AND after the signing. Thanks Claude!

Thanks. I saw multiple people talk about how this season died, so I thought maybe I missed some news. We don't have any shot without a healthy Embiid. With a healthy Embiid in the playoffs, if we get even the 10th seed, we have (very small) shot this year. So I didn't understand why people were talking about the death of the season.

In other words, I don't see MCcain untouchable the way I see Maxey as such.

I agree with you. On paper it doesn't look like it'll work. The only thing I'm hanging onto is the fact that both of them play bigger than their listed height/size. I was driving by Thompson-Boling arena yesterday imagining the "what if it had been Knecht" scenario that keeps haunting me. This $hit is sad! Like almost as sad as Littlefoots mom dying in Land Before Time. Watching us pass on him was the equivalent of Atreyu watching Artax drown in Neverending Story. Don't get me wrong...MCcain was a nice pick and he certainly helped soften the blow, but he's currently injured and Knecht is not. Oh well...Doesn't matter now. My point is, I still don't think MCcain is a lock for the future. At some point it'll come down to either him or Maxey and if MCcain helps us land us land a young up and coming superstar that is also a better fit for Maxey, then we have to do it. If Lamelo Ball or Cade Cunningham suddenly have enough of their current situations? I'm not trying to stray off topic. I don't see Jared being moved right now or any time IF the pairing ends up working. Nick Nurse made gold out of pairing Lowry and Fred Van Vleet.

Let's take it one step further and trade PG for Jimmy. Make it a real circus.

Healthy Embiid as someone has said is a myth

He should have been traded at least 3 seasons ago when his knees were Degen like Kawhi`s

We tied ourselves to the wrong ship get what you can and do a full reset.

Are they going to wait until after the game to announce the trade now?

Morey does understand the trade is more interesting than this game, right?

Jake Fischer reports he hears that they don’t have m
an exact trade pending, but sifting through options and expecting a trade by tomorrow. So many they aren’t locked in on a specific trade, but seem like we could know any minute.

I hear you, and I'm not saying that a Maxey-McCain backcourt can absolutely not work. It's just that we saw a fleeting glimpse of McCain, not a season's worth of ups and downs to know if it's a real thing or a mirage. The fact is that right now he is a potentially valuable trade chip if Morey so chooses.

Damn, if I lived down there I'd have season tickets at TBA (thanks for calling it by its real name and not that stupid corporate moniker), as this year's group is a fun one as well. But yeah, I'd be lying if I said I didn't occasionally think about DK being here. One thing for sure is I'd have gone to my first couple of games at Wells Fargo.

I feel like McCain + assets could be traded to a team that stinks but has a good player. Someone like John Collins.

McCain, Oubre, Drummond, Martin for DeRozan. I can come up with these all day.
