Who are they looking to deal specifically?

And you said they were looking for a marginal 4/5 right?

That kind of sucks. I wouldn't want to do something stupid, but the Artest rumor was interesting, as was the one for K. Thomas. Some offensive help in the halfcourt game wouldn't be too bad either.

I'd be all for the Kurt Thomas deal or trading for Lowry

spurs played this perfectly..they acted like they were gonna get artest...so denver's hand was forced and now they are gonna put Linas Kleiza in the deal back to Sactown for Artest(to be announced later). Then the Spurs went out and used the same package to get Kurt Thomas instead.

And the Sixers ...got nothing imminent or close.

Looking to deal anyone not named Miller, Iggy, Young,Lou Will, Dalembert

Jason smith would be dealt if they really liked the deal....but not itching to move him. They prefer to keep Evans because of the lack of bigs....and team chemistry..but if someone really wanted him..they would listen.

Sixerfan1976,

Any chance that the Sixers would listen to offers for Dalembert??? I know he's playing well this season, but he's so limited offensively.

Gotta hand it to Seattle, they got 2 first rounders to take him and one to let him go. Granted, at least two of the 1s are way down in "buy a pick" range this year, but the 2010 PHO pick could be good.....

Sounds like Ed has been surprisingly candid and up front with the fans. Your description nearly matches what Ed has put out for public consumption.

So you're saying Artest got traded to Denver for Kleiza, Najera, and their 1st?

I am saying I am hearing that Kleiza is going to Sactown...I dont know what else is in the deal. The Spurs briefly getting interested in Artest made Denver put Kleiza in the talks.

Wow. Good news for Denver IMO when it happens. Thanks. So Artest is to play SG in Denver if that happens since I know he won't come off the bench.

Stefanski was on at half-time with Tom McGinnis on the radio and said that he's having a lot of fun talking to all of the teams but that nothing is on the verge of happening.

Ed Stefanski...I've lost alot of trust and confidence in him come the deadline. We have limited assets, we need to be a better team.

You are joking right? You can't expect miracle deals. If our assets our limited, then how do you expect a big deal?

Apparently all the teams want a bunch of our young players, and Ed doesn't want to get rid of them. Good for him, because neither do I. Unless we could land a stud, but even then Thad is off limits.

Do you see the problem with what you wrote? Perhaps it's because we have limited assets that Ed is unable to make the big move that would make you happy.

The company line all year has been wait until the summer of '08 and so that's what I am going to do.
