In a re-draft he would be taken below 3. Evan Turner went 2nd. In a re-draft he would not go anywhere near the second pick.

In a redraft, he would be taken in the top 5. Tea,s are just playing hardball, because they don't wanna help out the tanking Sixers cause. That's my theory. They are butthurt.

We'll eventually see based upon what we get. However, right now, we don't know what we're asking for or what other teams are offering.

I saw the Sixers play the Clippers when I was in Cali around the holidays and I was really really impressed watching Jahlil. But in a perfect world I just don't see how Simmons, Embiid, Noel, and Saric all fit together :/

Do you see how things play out at first then make a move or hope something gets done before the season?

EDIT: This was the game

Ever since Saric was drafted most have assumed he would be our sixth man that could occasionally play starters minutes. Okafor or Noel is going to be traded, when? We don't know, but one of them will be eventually. I doubt both will, at least not in the foreseeable future, Embiid has to prove he can stay healthy long term before we do that, if it's even necessary to. Simmons is our starter at PF imo, seems like he could play SF as well.

Too much unknown at this point, that's my opinion and believe the gist of it.

only player that could supplant Okafor at #3 would be Pringles. Okafor is WHO WE THOUGHT HE WAS. We knew he had elite low post potential and that his defense needed serious work. He was as good as advertised on offense, against full grown men.

The reason why people weren't interested with our bigs, aside from a lot of bigs from the draft, there was due to the cap situation and amount of bigs available at FA. For instance, Celts were able to sign Horford, Magic with Biyombo or Blazers with Ezeli. Plus there's Noel's contract situation and Jah's knee injury.

Personally, non-Sixers fans have a negative bias with the team that they tend to overcriticize our guys that do make it sound like thats the exact same sentiment of other team's FO. Most of the negative bias comes form bandwagon mentality from general media and jealousy.

Trading Noel is tricky because of his contract situation. Currently, I don't see any possible trade packages that gets us atleast an equivalent amount of assets in return other than to hedge them for future picks.

But like Corey, I'm tired of debating about Jah and would rather just see their development and fit with SimBiid.

I still take Okafor at #3 in redraft. Towns Porzingis Okafor. You can say he is not a modern NBA big, but he is just too talented.

Couldn't get any one of the following in trade for Okafor:

Towns
Porzingis
Jokic
Russell
Booker
Lyles
Turner
Mudiay

So in a re-draft, Okafor goes 9th... 7th tops.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

There is something wrong with a lot of these dudes man, idk what's in their water. Jah plays like a 15year vet already on offense. Ben Simmons will absolutely love having him to pass too.

Saw this today. Obviously highlights, but he's pretty damn filthy for his age. Has a much quicker first step than I thought when watching during the season. Two things I confirmed from this though is that 1) it took him half a season to get his jumper looking smoother than most of the players on last years team (not saying much I guess) 2) He sped up the pace of his moves to the basket as the season went along, so damn slow at the beginning of the year.

He worked pretty much every big man in the league in this vid. That's gonna be hella valuable for someone down the line, even if it isn't us.

He's literally the best perimeter and post iso player we have. Idgaf what the league thinks, we have him and we shouldn't let him go. He will be praised the moment he leaves Philly and we'll look like dumbasses. He has more dribble moves than A Wiggins for god sakes. Literally hits grown men with between the legs hesitation dribbles and goes up strong!!!! Simmons/Okafor is the death combo for our future championship hopes.

so guess what happens to Okafor when he starts playing with guys who can deliver the ball to him a lot closer to the rim? plus having guys who know how to cut and can actually hit an open shot? at that point we won't care where he would go in a redraft. or what we can get for him. he's our #1 scorer. (unless Embiid explodes early in the season. then imagine the two of them working off each other.) Negadelphia...you got a couple months left to pack up and head out of town.

I will say this about Okafor. While I think it will be a disaster defensively with Okakor and Simmons together, I think they could be pretty efficient offensively. Simmons hasn't really posted up that much in his 3 summer league games. If he really is going to be faciliting a lot and be in the high post and outside the 3 point line then I don't think it will be as congested even with Okafor and Embiid on the court together. I still don't think that's the best lineup and could cause issues but the more I see of Simmons the more I think we won't be a mess offensively as long as Simmons is running things. I now do want to see the train wreck with Okakor and Embiid and Simmons on the court together. I think it could be a beautiful train wreck rather than an awful train wreck though. Both bad but it might be entertaining until I see us giving up so many pints on the the defensive end lol.

I am a bit worried that Noel won't be able to catch the types of looks that will be coming his way. He has great hands above the rim, but struggles to catch passes below his shoulders. In this regard, I think Jah could be a better fit.

Even Holmes, who last year was one of their best catch and finish bigs, has struggled a bit catching some of these surprise passes. Pre-season and practice is going to be so important. Sort of like a catcher learning to handle a knuckle baller. If you can't catch well and have a good sense of how to move without the ball, then you are diminishing the value of Simmons and Saric (and Sergio.) I think TLC seems like the perfect guard to put out their. I'm still not sure about the bigs aside from Embiid.

It's a valid point. Simmons likes delivering chest-to-waist dumpoffs and bounce passes. Noel is clearly an above the rim pass catcher, only.

It makes sense not to rush anything with Okafor. The 20-year-old has a long time ahead of him to be involved with USA Basketball, either on the Select Team or if he gets to a point in which the National Team wants him on the roster. It's still a good experience to be around the mini-camp now, experience the work ethic of those on both sides of the equation, and soak up as much information as possible in the process. He just can't do a ton while he's there this time.
Okafor averaged 17.5 points, seven rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 30 minutes as a rookie. He still finished fifth in Rookie of the Year voting despite playing just 53 games. It makes sense not to rush anything with Okafor.
