don't say simmons because i'm talking about players that have actually played in a game.
So i don't see why they cant get a top 10 pick for him.

I would 100% accept any of the following guys straight up for Okafor (even the ones from this group that are doing poorly so far because I still believe in their upside).

J Murray
Ingram
Brogdon
Brown
Dunn
LeVert
McCaw
D Murray
Baldwin
Bender
Maker
Zubac
Valentine

There are probably another 10+ that I'd consider as well.

The problem is he's an old school type center in a league that has moved on from them. Teams don't value those guys as highly any longer. Of those guys only Valentine, Baldwin, and McCaw makes sense because they aren't so good they'll be missed and their team could use an upgrade at Center. I would say Dunn but why would MN do that when they have KAT? Maybe in a thee team? My guess is it'll eventually just be like the rumored deal i.e. an okay player and future pick. But it needs to happen just so the dark cloud over the whole situation can go away. But you don't want to just give him away. But what if there aren't any good offers?

What about Rozier? He's an attacking PG who can finish, has a great looking jump shot and is a good rebounder. You need a guard. Maybe we throw in a future non BK 1st? Rozier needs to play like IT but Brad doesn't use him that way so you aren't seeing him set up for success. He's a good player though and might just need to be in a different system with a new coach. I have a feeling he'll be on the move since we most likely pick a guard in the draft and they still have Smart to back up both guard spots.

I agree with you - there's no incentive for most of those teams to trade any of those guys for Okafor. I was merely arguing against the ridiculous claim I responded to.

Bye, bye Josh Jackson. Only showcasing Okafor was going to get you here.

It's not too late Bryan.....trade Noel instead.

I'm interested to see what the discussion are. No Jrue. Last rumor had them seeking a third team.

I would hope we held firm that they needed to increase the offer not cave for highly protected first.

He should be well rested after sitting out the Magic game.

I hope he trades both players one good game here or bad game there doesn't really change the longterm calculus.

I wouldn't put it past BC to make a trade to deflect from the Embiid injury. I just can't believe he's smart enough to understand how terrible Okafor is. The scarey thing is that he is dumb enough to add assets to get a UFA like Holiday here.

I don't understand the Pels trading Jrue. Are they just convinced he won't resign with them?

Brown post game straight up saying Okafor didn't play due to potential trade. Our 1.5 year nightmare might be over boys.

Jahlil Okafor has played terrible basketball this season but when you look at his skillset and profile there is still a ton to like. it's still early enough in his career where he could turn it around. The problem is keeping him motivated and getting the most out of him.

Personally, I've lost trust in him but the talent has always been there. Take a look around the league there are a ton of guys where you can't say the same which are top picks.

Which is why we've seen a ton of interest. In any case lets see what the offers are. There are rumors the lakers are also interested and would drop protection on the pick I assume there would be more but we'll have to wait.

Brutal if true. I'm fine signing him over the summer but it makes very little sense to trade for him now. It just seems like a poor understanding of success cycles and a waste of value.

I think it's virtually a guarantee that he won't re sign with them. It's been a rough four years for him there. On top of that he's really not a good fit with Tyreke Evans, they have gotten production out of Frazier, they signed ETwann Moore and Langston Galloway, and they drafted Buddy Hield. Maybe they plan on letting Evans be the main facilitator? Let Galloway or Moore start in the backcourt with Hield? Either way, I don't see Jrue staying in the Big Eazy.
