BUT Morris is getting paid 5 million for the next 2 years while Covington would need 17-18 million for next year. This means you can be major players in FA.
Smart is perfect for you guys off the bench as you desperately need perimeter defense.

Clarification: Covington is much better than Morris.

Morris last year had a higher offensive rating defensive rating net rating higher ast% higher DREB and REB%
Covington has a higher TS%

Well then, sounds like you shouldn't be trying to trade him for a player thats a "smidge" better, pass

Morris is a nice player. Probably a better player than Sixers fans give credit for, but Covington is an all league level defender, and a sniper from beyond the arc. He is a perfect compliment to our stars, and needs to stay on the team.

You aren’t going to make the Sixers better by trading Covington unless he is part of a package for a star.

That has never been a concern of the proposals.

Yeah but Covington and Holmes makes the Celtics better than Tatum and Thies right?
Same for us... why would we move Tatum for anything less than a star?
Bet with Stillwater Celtics will finish 6th or higher in ECF Standings Regular Season(17-18). [WON]

Covington and Holmes >> Tatum and Theis. I don’t see how that’s questionable.

 Well trolled trying to compare two uncomparable things. While you’re at it, could you at least spell your own player’s name correctly?

I didn’t make any offers at all, actually, if you go back and look.

Denver has several pieces I like:
I still like Mudiay (I know y'all don't).
I'd also take a flyer on Trey Lyles. Would like to see him compete with Saric and Anderson.
Malik Beasley? ok.

Getting a player the level of Lyles for Okafor would be a good get.

I'd like to see them go for a guy like David Nwaba, SG for the Bulls. He's the kind of guy that could turn into a Patrick Beverly or Robert Covington type and play himself into a valuable role off the bench. I'd rather have that than an early 2nd round pick.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Is Denver more likely to trade Trey Lyles, or Tyler Lydon?

I'd happily take either. I liked Lydon coming out of the draft.

Neither player has cracked their rotation, but Lyles only has two team controlled years left so I'd assume they'd rather move him. They have 4 team controlled years to develop Lydon.

You wouldn’t. I’m not saying that you should.

I was just saying from a Sixers perspective that I don’t think that we trade Covington.

Yeah bird rights don't transfer otherwise Covington would make a ton of sense. They could actually exceed their cap to sign him.

I still think our best bet to trade Okafor is for Bledsoe. It makes sense for both teams. We can add Bayless and still have room for a max guy.

I think Phoenix can do better than that. If we could get Bledsoe for Bayless and Okafor then sure we do that, but I don’t think we could.

Don't see how Nwaba turns into a 3 and D guy when he probably can't shoot.
