Because I believe he can and will do that, and this will really prove his worth for the team and the league for his push for Dpoy.
If we can take Giannis out of the game with Ben’s defense, that would be a big leg up IMO.
Another thing is I find the roster is preparing for a face-off with the Bucks. This is why we added Tolliver and Gary Clark. You dont see both guys in the Wiz game. Im not saying both guys will lock him down but both guys are the archetype that is best to defend Giannis (Thad Young model).
No, I think Ben wants to chase around guards, like Jrue. Would be nice if he could though.

9 out of 10 NBA fans wouldn't trade SGA alone for Paul George.

That team has some serious issues. They need a strong personality in there with Kawhi and Paul, one those guys will at least pay attention to. No idea who that could be. You probably really need to break them up.
I don’t get what happened to the two of them defensively. I didn’t watch the game but you watch the highlight clips of Luka running pick and roll and either there’s a total lack of communication between them and the big or both of those guys are just being super lazy on him. They’re not even competing on some of the plays.
I think they can still turn the series around but it will involve at least one of them, you know, trying to cover the other teams best player.

9 out of 10 NBA fans wouldn't trade 5 picks alone for Paul George either. It looked bad on the day of but, looking at it now, it is going to be Nets-esque. Imagine if Kawhi leaves in the offseason? shoot that franchise into the sun.

Probably the last time his team was lower than 3rd. I might still consider them the favorite in the West though. Not sure who is at the moment.Embiid-MVP wrote:Philly2good wrote:Phila Tough wrote:

Re: The Playoffs Thread
The Bronkers still probably come out the west IMO.
CP3 is broken ...again. The Jazz secretly hate each other (non joke reason, they rely heavily on 3s falling and Gobert has been gameplanned out of the playoffs frequently). The Nuggets are missing their best guard (although no one seems to have the bodies to guard Jokic...except well the Lakers). The Mavs are a one man band. The Clippers are fraudulent as hell and should be moved to Seattle. The Grizzlies are too young. That leaves the Blazers as Lillard can go nuclear I guess but I also think Jokic can solo their bigs anyway.
It all sets up for a Bron "beating all da odds" storyline the league will cum themselves over to push.

Luka has a really hard time on Ben. Ben can negate his size advantage. And Ben is quick so he has a hard time driving past him

idk just letting Giannis eat while keeping his teammates out of the game might be an option IMO...especially if Giannis keeps wanting to prove his jumper is legit.

So we put Ben on Giannis right and shut everyone down by staying on their man?

Second half clips game.
Does not matter that much because there are quite a lot of times when Luka sees Kawhi, he’d call for a 2 man game where Clips switches all defense then Luke attacks Zubac or have a step advantage over Pg or kawhi.
Luka is also has a size advantage on Kawhi. He likes to use his shoulder to create separation then he’d take a fade away or one legged shot, with his very good mid range shooting. I think he can’t do that with Ben because Ben is longer.

"Was" might be the operative word in that sentence. Kawhi can still defend well, but not shutdown level well, especially while carrying an offensive load and less so against guards than forwards.

Re: The Playoffs Thread
Watch the highlights.
Even if you put Scottie Pippen there. doncic will just call for a screen and he can either attack fhe mismatch if they switch of have a step advantage for a drive against PG or Kawhi. And if they can stay with him, he’ll bump with his shoulder, get separation and do a fadeaway.
He’s tall, skilled and have good shooting touch. That’s all you need to be a star these days.
His three ways of getting separation:
- screen
- step back
- bump
His way to get his shots off
- natural shot release heights
- fade away
- one legged (that leg shields defender to prevent him to stay close)

That would be ideal for me, because this also allows Biid to patrol the paint. But from what I saw, we only do that when the game is close. Maybe to conserve biid’s energy and not get him to foul trouble
