But I know the guy spent the last 3 years publicly gaslighting the fans that we were all stupid and Doc was a fantastic coach.

So basically f Morey too. He’s just as much a part of the problem. They can both go collect their 10 million a year together elsewhere.

He was not involved with the hiring of Doc I think, this has owners written all over it. But he was stupid to keep believing in him (I suspect this is partly because Doc has great coaching staff). I mean even if the owners didn't want to fire Doc because of his contract, Morey could have said it's me or him. For me the peak absurd moment was when Morey said Doc is great because without him we could have hardly signed a player like Montrezl Harrell hahahah
But Morey has drafted really well.

This is the 2020 draft, all excellent picks:
Players Drafted
Tyrese Maxey | 20th overall
Tyler Bey | 36th overall (traded to Dallas)
Isaiah Joe | 49th overall
Paul Reed | 58th overal

2021 draft, also very good:
Players Drafted
Jaden Springer | 28th overall
Charles Bassey | 53rd overall

2022 draft
He traded the 23rd pick for DeAnthony Melton.

I could only imagine what Morey could have done with some higher picks that we had in the past. So I would keep Morey based on his draft history, but he better find a modern coach.

It's encouraging that the fanbase accurately identifies Embiid as the problem and aren't just shouting "FIRE DOC."

Excellent, this puts a S&T in play. No idea what we could get, but it's good to have options.

I assume we get back the corpse of Chris Paul and/or Ayton + some other stuff. I assume they'd be re-routed.

Personally I'd want far future picks from the Suns as they could fall off a cliff as Durant and Harden age out.

It's not surprising at all. Was thinking Chris Paul was in play, lol. That'll nosedive the interest of the entire fan base.

That said, at least we'll have a point guard that runs a pace that Embiid likes lol: incredibly slow.

Here are your PG options for next year.....

1) Harden
2) CP3
3) Westbrook

My first choice would be Westbrook on a 1 year deal, if he's willing to sign for the mid level exemption.

My 2nd choice would be a sign and trade for Paul

We’re not gonna win with either Harden or CP3. But at least Chris Paul is an A+ mentor for Maxey so I’m down for it.

God Chris Paul?

Can we just have a likable team please?

That's half the reason I want to trade everyone. Maxey is the only guy on the team I enjoy watching play and has a good attitude.

Sixers need to look across the street and see how the Eagles have built a proper contender.

Whatever they decide with Rivers, it needs to be done soon(like tomorrow) because other teams searches are heating up and they'll miss out.

But I expect this organization to do the worst thing possible, take their grand old time and lollygag, because that's what they always do. A rudderless ship.

We can just build our team like the Cavs with a Harden/Tobi for CP3/Ayton trade lol

CP3 isn't completely washed, but if there's no Harden and you don't want Westbrook and you're not trading Embiid; then who is playing PG?

And yes, you probably have to trade Maxey if you have Paul.

CP3 is very much completely washed and just tore his hamstring for the second time in a few years and is approaching 40 lol.

If Harden walks, its Maxey,Melton, and even Springer at the point and you keep it moving. Westbrook can't shoot and I am pretty sure he isn't a fan of Morey and vice versa.

i know we are in hell right now but lets chill a bit lol

"And listen, it may ultimately be a leverage play for James Harden. Houston may be his way to get him the kind of guaranteed money, long-term money he wants from Philly. But I wouldn't underestimate it as just a leverage play. I think he's very serious about returning. And Philadelphia now, they have strong relationships in that organization from Daryl Morey, starting with him in their front office. It's going to be a really interesting couple of months."

You wanna improve the chances of Embiid actually being healthy for the playoffs. Don't have him start his season until after the all-star break.

Oh Embiid was 100% healthy, you don't get injured every year specifically just before the 2nd round, don't you think it is too much coincidence? I do, he has been faking his injuries most of these years, he just has fear of failure and this is a way for him to cope in case he fails, it's like what Ben Simmons did with not shooting and shying away from driving to the rim but in a different way.
I remember how in 2021 after the series, how he told Philly fans how he gave it all and specifically mentioned the effort he put while being injured. Ya dude is definitely scared of failure in the second round.
I too believed him, but after rewatching some of the other playoff series and this one, I don't believe it anymore.

Melton needs to go as well. Not good enough. I'd rather give his minutes to Springer.

Who is giving up the grandfather package for this guy right now? Who would even be interested?

I'm sure plenty of GMs believe they can unlock Embiid's championship with the right pieces and coach.

Hard to know, how could other GM know what is in Embiid's head, how coachable he is, how big his ego is? he has finally won an MVP, who knows if he could be open to play second fiddle next to a 1st option? Nets probably thought something similar with Simmons, but I think Embiid is more coachable than Simmons, could be wrong though.

I have no idea why the Rockets would even want Harden. Not only after what we saw in games 6 and 7, but the Rockets are a building team very far from contending. All Harden would do is make them a little better and hurt their lottery chances the next couple seasons. Plus, he'd require a massive contract. It makes zero sense from their perspective.
