Ok... I'm going to get murdered on here for this by some of you and that's ok. I don't want to fight...Just a simple thought provoking question/name.

Jordan Poole. What are the thoughts on him? A year and change ago he looked unattainable from the Dubs. He was instrumental in their Finals run. He was the main man coming off the bench for them. The guy looked like a Steph Curry protege.

Fast forward 16 months later and a punch in the face from Draymond and everyone hates him. He's got no value, Washington may have to attach a pick or asset just to move him. He's playing on a horrible roster with no leadership or vision. I realize his contract is offensive, but his skillset that he offers is not if he can get back on track.

Would we have any interest at all? He'd be a great piece off the bench.

Morris/expirings and Morey could potentially swindle an asset out of it. Wright? Kispert?

I don't know, just a thought.

Dorian Finney-Smith?

The New Jersey Nets are supposedly asking for two 1st round draft picks for him. He'd be a great fit here with us, but that's a high asking price. OG Anunoby consolation prize maybe? I don't know, he's never impressed me to the point where I'd offer up 2 firsts for him.

1000% no. Committing big long term $ to a 6th man chucker who can’t play D would be literally 1 of the worst moves Morey could possibly make.

I still think that unless a great opportunity presents itself, keeping it simple is the best route.

Sixers out: Morris, KJ Martin, ‘24 2nd, ‘29 2nd
Sixers in: Gary Trent Jr

Wizards out: ‘25 2nd and ‘26 2nd
Wizards in: KJ Martin

Raptors out: Gary Trent JR
Raptors in: Morris and 4 2nd’s

Or just go get Caruso

House, Korkmaz, ‘26 1st (whichever is lower), and ‘24 2nd to Bulls for Caruso

Maxey
Caruso/GTJ
Oubre
Tobi
Jo
Melton, Batum and Reed main contributors off bench with RoCo and Pat Bev cleaning up whatever mins are left.

I saw a swap of:
Harris to CHI
LaVine to TOR
Siakam to PHI
With open ended picks

Depending on the cost I think it's interesting. Siakam is not a perfect fit as a 3rd guy since he's a tough fit off ball, but he does add playmaking, size and defense to the lineup.

If you still had assets leftover to flip with the other expirings, you might really have something.

Maxey | Melton | Batum | Siakam | Embiid

That's a helluva defensive lineup.

Let's also say you also add Brogdon to a bench of Oubre, Reed, Covington and Pat Bev (yes, he's getting a shootout after last night).

I think that team could legitimately compete for a title now and through the remainder of Embiid's prime.

This is your all-in move? Then it looks like Embiid's legacy is doomed to be an endless string of second round exits.

Does Toronto want anything to do with LaVine and his contract tho? Kind of doubt it, but even if they did I highly doubt they would add any assets to the deal.
So the Sixers are giving up almost all of their assets to upgrade Tobi to Siakam and the right to (maybe) sign Siakam to a max extension in the off-season? Just don’t see how that’s the best move for us long term.
Take out Siakam and make it OG + GTJ and I might do it tho. Maxey-GTJ-OG-Batum-Jo is a much better lineup.

Raptors fans keep proposing deals for LaVine, so I dunno. I agree with you though.

I'm not sure how much the Sixers would need to add. If its like, say the 2 picks we got in the Harden deal, I think you pull the trigger. Much more than that I think you walk away.

I prefer OG, but Toronto may also prefer to keep him over Pascal due to fit/age.

Yeah I haven’t paid attention to Raps fans…just going by the Woj report that the LaVine trade market is pretty much nonexistent. I’ve always thought LaVine is pretty overrated and seems like most GM’s are agreeing. He doesn’t add any significant value in terms of making the players around him better or on defense. Just a scoring guard that needs very specific pieces around him to make a winning team work. If the Raps are going to trade Siakam I think they’d go with long term value over a player that doesn’t really change their outlook of being a mediocre team. If anything just cut the Bulls out and make it expirings and picks from the Sixers for Siakam.

Wonder if the Thunder could be sold on Tobias and Melton for Dort, Bertans, Micic, and the 25 1st returned?

You could get Buddy Hield a hell of a lot easier than that.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
