Agree. I am too young to remember the Cowboys' dominant era. I always hated the Giants more bc I relate it to fanbases and I dislike NY fans more than people from Texas (or even the Dallas bandwagoners across the country).

Dallas is just another team compared to the Giants to me. My intense hatred of the Giants stems from living in North Jersey during the Parcells years, where the only joy was Buddy Ryan kicking his fat ass twice a year. Giant fans are the worst fans in sports, and it isn't close - arrogant, obnoxious, and incredibly delusional (they truly believe Eli Manning is a HOFer and better than Tom Brady) like no fans I've ever been around.

I live at the Shore now, but today I was in a store and overheard a conversation between two guys, and this quote is verbatim - "I'm pissed that Dallas won because my scenario was Brady beating them, then beating San Fran, and us beating him again to get to the Super Bowl." In other words, beating Brady is a regular thing for the Giants, and it's assumed the Giants win Sunday.

Their fans still believe they are an elite franchise, and that the league revolves around the Giants. They truly believe that.

Those Jimmy Johnson Dallas teams were so good and so dominant that I at least respected them. Three out of the four Giants SB's had incredibly fluky moments that made them possible. If Roger Craig doesn't fumble, Asante Samuel holds on to a ball thrown right to him, and Wes Welker catches a ball he normally would 999-1000 times, the Giants have one SB win.

Don't forget Scott Norwood's wide right FG attempt the same postseason of the Craig fumble. They got lucky twice. Also, Kyle Williams's TWO fumbles in the NFC championship game during their most recent SB run.

Oh, no doubt. I don't even count Norwood because the Giants wouldn't have even been in that SB if Bill Walsh was still coaching the Niners. George Siefert coached that game like a coward, afraid to lose. And then in a situation where if you take three knees and punt the game is over, you risk running the ball into the teeth of a defense desperate for a turnover? I was begging for play action and a slant to Rice in that spot, as the Giants had 9 guys in the box. No balls, and he lost to a vastly inferior team.

I mostly hated them because my favorite player as a kid was Prime. When he went to Dallas it put little elementary school me in an unenviable position. The concept of how rare a championship is and rivalry hadn't fully crystalized yet. By the time it did, Dallas sucked.

The Giants are our #1 rival. Just a better rivalry in every way. Better games, longer history, closer cities, etc.

The Cowboys are our #2 rival. Only so high because old people can't let go the 70's - 90's when the Cowboys were better.

That was a generation ago and we've dominated them since.

Can't wait for tonight. Not much can beat a playoff game against the Giants. Beating them and then the Cowboys in the NFC Championship game would be amazing.

I agree the Giants are the biggest rival, but mainly because Dallas already has their main rival in Washington and always considers the Eagles 2nd or even 3rd.

That being said, since 2010 the Boys are 15-11 against the Birds and 73-55 all time.

Meanwhile, the Eagles have beaten the Giants 21 out of the last 27 meetings including tonight, and now have an all-time mark of 92-87-2 against them.

Much easier to get worked up for a Dallas game IMO.

Dominant win tonight. Luckily our guys know that there's still much more to be done.

Glad the Giants could serve as a sparring partner getting ready for the playoffs to start next week.

Glad the Cowpokes went home again. Niners D is tough no doubt but if any team can score on them, it's the Eagles. Looking forward to next Sunday.

Brock Purdy will be exposed on Sunday, and you can bank on Shanahan trying to be the smartest guy in the room (ala Andy Reid) and blowing the game if it happens to be close.

Eagles by at least two scores.

Dallas would have been an easier opponent but we should beat the 49ers anyway. Clock is ticking on Purdy's cinderella story and it strikes midnight this Sunday.

2 can't miss games. Too bad the NBA can't put on a similar product because the game is beautiful in theory.
