- the coach is deploying clunky lineups around him
- he's unhappy with summer personnel decisions
- he's unhappy with a moment of vulnerability going viral

We can't fix all of those things, but we can mitigate some of those issues.

It's funny did anyone else catch where the announcers said that Joel and Marc Gasol both entered the game at the same time and Joel refused to make eye contact with Marc. LOL. Joel will be fine but this will be another humbling experience in Canada and he needs to be humbled. But your right Bret needs to figure out a way to get him an easy looks in that situation.

So what joel doesnt make eye contact with his own teammates.

Another weird take is that the guy is trying to portray himself as more mature and has toned down his personality on the court.

I dont know whats going on with embiid but hes definitley not himself. His teammates havent help and neither has the coach.

His problems go beyond Marc Gasol. Can people not see that he's literally gotten too slow to put the ball on the floor? He's more vulnerable to strips than any big in the league and when he tries to step around defenders he plows his way right into offensive fouls. He's been terribly sluggish and at times just plain lazy.

Everyone wants to blame Brett for not putting Embiid in position to score, but I honestly believe Joel is in his own head and is trying to avoid the turnovers connected to his touches down low.

Very sluggish since the start of the playoffs last season, and it hasn't changed. He's good for a driven game about once every other week.

The next games will tell a lot about him. Is he going to come more determined or more timid or nonchalant?

In the end it is only a November game, and even if Gasol is his achilles heel its not the end of the world since I dont think the Raptors are such a big threat in the postseason.

I would be only worried if it's a more systemic issue.

I'm a big Embiid fan, too. I just want to shake him. He needs to hire a life coach - he could literally carry teams to championships if he got his head going right.

Also, the media loves Brett Brown, so he's getting too much of a pass. He really needs to go... But keep him around until if and when we are ready to rebuild ourselves. That will help us. But he really needs to be Babcocked.

Who cares. The NBA has enough robots, yes men and best friends. The NBA has lost fierce competition and the game is going down the drain. Embiid and a select few others make it fun to watch.

We already had that discussion. I think his performance was sickening. Obviously have taken care of his body or something is going on with his knee. Whatever it is he needs to snap out of it. Along with Ben his numbers are also down in every statistical category. He said he wanted to be MVP and DPOY. I thought he was going to average 30/13/2.5. As much as we want to hold Ben accountable we need to hold Jo responsible for this slide too.
