Re: Welcome Tyrese Maxey!
Watching Fultz glide down the court off a rebound with his gangly legs flailing everywhere was so majestic to watch. And his ability to manipulate defenses at high speeds like a supercomputer processing everything 5 frames before everyone else even as a rookie was special. I'll root against him forever for never getting close to becoming the player he was supposed to.

Even his mid-range jumper was pretty weak at Kentucky. He definitely needs significant jumpshot improvement. The free throw percentage in the clinging point for optimism.
I'd go as far to say even Fultz was a more promising jumpshooter in 2017 than Maxey is right now.
No he wasn't. Fultz was a garbage time shooter, who put up some points against the Cal States of the world. He never made a shot against a pro prospect level defender his entire college career.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Literally went 5/10 from deep on top 10 nationally ranked UCLA with Lonzo and two others swarming him at all times like he was James Harden

I saw the game. Washington was down 30, ten minutes into the game. He didn't do dookie, until UCLA stop caring. LOL.

The only thing good about him is he helped get the GM fired, who was dumb enough to take him.
Maxey is already better than Fultz.

In that same way, Horford was our signing of the summer because it butterfly effected into us getting Morey...
But I don't think there's one area that Maxey as a prospect was better at than Fultz tbh besides maybe floaters. Not a better creator, shooter, defender. He's smaller, less length, less bouncy, less crafty. Fultz could get his shot off easier, got to the line way more. But that player is dead to me now, and his shoulder is corrupted.

I concur Fultz was the better prospect, but I have to give the Shooting nod to Maxey. 83% FT vs. 65% FT is a massive difference. Plus Maxey was known to be a good shooter in his high school and prep days, and the relatively low freshman year numbers were surprising. Defense might be a wash also, although Fultz did put up better counting stats.

He ain't dead to you. You're still making up fairy tales about what he did, in the Maxey thread. LOL.

You got so lucky that literally the craziest thing in NBA history happened to this kid LOL. The fact that you are trying to spin Coangelo being fired off on Fultz, completely ignoring that disastrous Twitter scandal reeks of desperation.
Fultz is even a useful player in Orlando despite his shoulder falling off and/or having a mental block.
always a jump shot away.

On the Nate Duncan Podcast, they predicted 4 for 64 million. He got close.

Don't see the Maxey - Fultz comparisons...don't remind me of each other at all.

Same. Alas, the Fultz/Colangelo scars will be long and difficult to fade out of our collective psyche.

Why glo about a prospect who will be traded to Houston if the deal goes down. I don’t want harden but if a trade some how happens, I’m sure maxey will be included

Sorry I’m just tired of reading about it and trading away Simmons and trading away our 1st round pick who’s healthy and looks special

I think he does some of the better things that Fultz is capable of doing including a few finishes at the rim that looks like him.
But for the most part they are different prospects. Fultz is more of a distributor, longer, taller, more athletic but I like Maxey's outlook as a shooter better tbh.

Can confirm the UCLA game, Fultz was a no show until it was way way too late. He also wasn’t hounded or anything, he just wasn’t that dynamic of a scorer—would usually take a couple hard dribbles and shoot a pull up or do a spin into the lane. If you cut that off he was sort of outta options. But I also don’t think he was totally fools gold, being long with a good handle and being able to drill pull ups was a nice base, just lost the pull up game and so lost most of his nba efficacy.
