And what happens at the deadline? Someone gives us some value for an injured, overpaid player, having a bad season, who hasn't been playing?

I think Cleveland would do anything to get him. They need someone/something to spark their team.

Ed Davis, serious cap space, and a late first rounder for Iggy??... or not...?

We would still have Elton Brand on our hands, cap space doesn't do us good if we can't unload Brand's contract as well.

Seriously. Dude's only worth like... 8M dollars. (I've based that on the fact that 8 is my lucky number. Yes. That is all.)

I think this could be a good deal for both teams. The Heat have their scorer in Wade but could use a lockdown defender who also excels in transition. Sixers get a good piece to really jumpstart their rebuilding project. Probably have to thrown in a 1st since LeBron is slightly better perceived around the league.

Wouldn't be my first choice, but I'm never against getting a young big man with some potential. Davis needs more development, but if all other indicators are positive I have no problem with acquiring him in a move that clears some salary as well.

No rumors to speak of, but here is a gut feeling...for today!! Anxious for this to become a thing of the past. This would give the Sixers a nice return package in exchange for Iguodala.

Philadelphia Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: +4.3 ppg, +5.6 rpg, and -1.8 apg.
Incoming Players
Morris Peterson 6-7 SG / SF from Michigan State
0.8 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 0.2 apg in 4.6 minutes
James Harden 6-5 from Arizona State
16.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.5 apg in 30.8 minutes
B.J. Mullens 7-1 C from Ohio State
2.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 0.0 apg in 19.8 minutes

Outgoing Players
Andre Iguodala 6-6 SF from Arizona
14.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 4.5 apg in 30.8 minutes

Harden's beard would fit in here in Philly thats for sure.

That wouldn't be a bad package....I'd do it but would the Thunder?

Not sure about that deal. Harden is young and pretty good, but he's strictly a SG. If Turner plays SF it should only be part-time, and we still have Meeks as well. Could a Turner-Harden backcourt work for 10-15 minutes a night?

Is Harden a shooter? I'm only basing this off of what I saw in college. Still that's a pretty good package for Iggy ( especially since Harden is arguably outplaying him this season)

The stats in the trade checker aren't correct...he's @ 10/3 this year. Probably is a better shooter than Iguodala, but the Thunder aren't a team that needs a scorer to improve their playoff run...they need another high end defender or some more bulk inside. Value on both sides IMO.

Timberwolves fans seem to have a bit of a man crush on Iggy right now and we have the cap space to take on his contract. How hungry are the Sixers to move his deal? I realize that you still have Brand's deal to work off, but moving him at least gets you off the hook for one bad contract. The Wolves have a series of smaller contracts including Corey Brewer and might consider moving the contract of Nikola Pekovic or Martell Webster and we have our own pick as well as protected picks from Memphis and Utah next year. What sort of combination do you think would be workable for the Sixers?

Philadelphia In: Nikola Pekovic (2 more years at total of 9.4M), Corey Brewer (expiring), Memphis 1st
Philadelphia Out: Iggy

Why for Philly - Obviously you get to move Iggy's outdated contract. Pekovic is a young center with some post scoring ability, but between injury and fouls has had a hard time getting it going. Brewer's deal is expiring, but he's a high-energy defender that might be worth bringing back. Memphis pick is most likely to be conveyed in 2012, but should be a late lottery pick.

Why for MN - The Wolves have 10M under the cap right now that will go away next season. Iggy is overpaid, but he would be a dramatic defensive improvement at the 2 for the Wolves and would give them another veteran player on a very young team.

Thoughts? Is this too much/too little for Iggy? Is he ultimately staying put?
