a chance? he is gonna be that, more it's hard to say, I'd compare his D to Lonzo's and Ball is fairing well

agreed, his touch is really troubling to me, feels like a 2-way PG that might be a bit too reckless to command an offense, sort of like a more creative Pat Bev

WTH guys, I want answers!

There is also an 15 year old Greek Freak, already with a ridiciulous wingspan. What's up with this family?

Miles Bridges with the lakers pick?

I don't want Miles Bridges. Strikes me as a college overperformer offensively (due to high motor and plus athleticism) who isn't long enough to be positionally versatile on defense.

I think he's an overperformer, defensively. He may have good shotblock timing, but his defense on the perimeter seems hit or miss. Reminds me of Justin Anderson, defensively. Except, minus the 6'11" wingspan.

I think his offensive skill level is somewhat legitimate, though. He's shooting 40% from the mid-range for his career and shooting 39% from three in 156 attempts. I think his shooting is real and could translate.

I'll continue to ride the fence on whether or not I want Miles Bridges, though. I can see both sides.

Is anyone else really underwhelmed by Ayton? All size and little to no skill imo.

I don't get that sense. He's shooting 43% from mid-range (40% of his offense) and nearly 77% from the free throw line.

I'm underwhelmed by him, defensively, in the early going. His block percentage should be DOUBLE what it is right now. If he doesn't raise it, it doesn't bode well for his rim protecting ability at the next level.

Hmmm i wasnt aware of those numbers but given the competition so far i dont think he'll maintain that level.

Disregarding the competition he's faced and just focusing on his shooting form and touch, I think his skill level seems fine.

He's pretty skilled on offense. Him in space on defense is a bit troubling but nothing too concerning. I personally think Bama>. Bamba might be my #1 right now. I got to see more of him but I really like him.

Acc. to espn he shot 9/34 from midrange (26%) and made 4/9 (45%) in his 3 games so far.

Shooting touch and skill level haven't ever been in question, regarding Ayton (that I'm aware of). It's his dedication and motor that were of concern.

Im doubting his shooting, i think it will decrease once he gets more contested.
And im not really seeing special skills that scream franchise player.

Ayton is impressively coordinated and well balanced, and appears to have no trouble adding quality lbs. I don't see franchise talent right now but his floor is very high.

How would you rank the guards from this college year and the current NBA rookie guards? (excluding Simmons)

Thanks for the reply, the next draft seems to be not that great in terms of guard prospects.

Mikal Bridges 6/6 from deep, 9/10 from the field for 24 points. Watched their game against Nicholls and it seems like Bridges is getting a bigger role on the team. They're posting him up against smaller wings and guards, his passing out of the post is solid, not very advanced from a skill perspective though.

Very high on his shooting stroke though, it's a bit Klay-esque on how he prepares his shot from a lower body perspective. Squared up and a wide stance, capable to use a 1-2 motion and a hop as well. He shot a three on the move which impressed me, I see some potential as a shooter off screens in the future. His elbow does tend to flare out a bit at times.
