Free throws allows us to stay close. When Celts pull away we came back by JJ consecutive 3s, Tobias consecutive drives and Butler consecutive 3s. Then in crunch time, Butler and Biid just made plays.

Celts is like that dirty and cheap umbrella that isn’t valuable until one day it rains. We are that rain.

Hope you guys understand my weakass analogy

Love what Redick brings to the table, but this offseason we need to look for his replacement as a starter. He can't be such a liability on defense, especially if he's not hitting shots.

Yeah we need another option for when he gets run off the floor. Also his old legs can't handle a back to back very well. He's much better when he has time to rest. I would liberally give him some games off coming up, including the next game on Saturday against the Hawks.

The team desperately needs a guard/wing that can create for himself and others in the halfcourt.

Also it is unfortunate but Simmons appears to be a non factor or even a negative against all top teams in the east.

How is he a negative when he was +12 and also changed the game with that 2+1? do you guys watch the same game I watch?

They didn't, they had him on Harris and the Sixers kept running pick and rolls to get him switched onto Butler.

Brett learned to use "hunt match-ups!" It was super effective!

You know what? I have even a feeling that Jimmy taught him that.

Jimmy has been a great leader for the team. You can see him talking with our guys and pointing out our mistakes.

Jimmy playing point guard in the 4th IS the difference these last 2 weeks.
I expect to see a lot of that in the playoffs.

We probably won't play them again this year, but I'd be very interested to see how Stevens would adjust Kyrie's role on defense down the stretch. He simply couldn't handle the Butler/Harris p&r, Harris is way too versatile for them to hide Irving on it, he can either pop out for the 3 or roll for an easy run to the rim. Definitely can't hide him like they could on Covington or Chandler.

I guess he could put him on Simmons or Redick who can only do one of those things? That would cause it's own issues though.

Along with a very nice stat line. 13/8/7 and good defense. I've been seeing and saying it all year, his comfort level in the post is a game changer and makes him a threat in the half court. Here's also being more aggressive in terms of driving in the half court and finishing in traffic. He's shown a lot when Embiid is out. I would still like to see him force a little more action with a fully healthy team. I will agree that if any of the top five scores for this team needs to sacrifice shot attempts it would be him, but with the lack of depth they all need to contribute... Thankfully he can put his fingerprint on a game without even taking a shot. But when he's aggressive, it creates this Jason Kidd like helter skelter impact. He is certainly turned the corner, but it seems as if people continue to talk about him as if this was still his rookie season after the Celtics matchup. Seriously, if this post all star free throw shooting continues, then there is little to complain about.

Enough about Ben.... This was a great team win for Philly. They SHOULD come out of the East and can beat anyone from the West. So many quality 2 way stars, but I only see Toronto as a real threat. Embiid is a legit superstar, and is probably the best big man in the game.

I will agree that BB makes some non intelligent mistakes in game, but I have an appreciation for the system he's installed, and how he's created a situation where all 5 starters can eat, and puts them in smart positions. You don't have a your turn my turn type system offensively, there is ball movement and off-ball movement by the players. That's often times how these Superstar teams end up. We shall see how the defense ultimately is as this team really have gone through quite a few changes.

I'd imagine. Embiid took his manhood so badly that he probably won't be able to perform tonight.
