Luxury Tax Teams
• Golden State Warriors: $176.9 million
• Los Angeles Clippers: $142.4 million
• Phoenix Suns: $68.2 million
• Milwaukee Bucks: $52.5 million
• Boston Celtics: $43.8 million
• Denver Nuggets: $20.2 million
• Miami Heat: $15.7 million
• Los Angeles Lakers: $6.9 million

Every other team under the tax will receive a 11.96M payment.

So at least the Sixers win in financials! Go revenue and profit!!

Morey must be parodying himself at this point.

A guy he drafted in Houston a decade ago who failed out of the league and has been playing in 2nd tier European leagues.

I know they need to fill out the roster cheaply, but come on.

Do you feel at least a little guilty about your team facilitating Jrue Holiday to the Celtics and gifting them a championship?

Pat Bev played over in Europe as a 23 year old. Phoenix brought PJ over at 26.

Dekker is 30. And it just plays to the Morey only signs ex-Rockets.

And if the reason he only signs ex-Rockets is because everyone else is leery of doing business with him? He's gotta go.

FireMorey wrote:You're nitpicking semantics. For one, there is no official end of the process. The process in itself isn't even a real thing. It's just a made up term people have adopted in meme form to describe the path of tanking and building the team. When that officially ends is completely arbitrary. You have your opinion on that, but it is no more correct or official than anyone else's. Me personally, I consider everything through at least the Butler trade(for Butler) all part of the process.

Secondly, squabbling over what constitutes "the process" is the least important and relevant part of any of this. Call them whatever you want. Process truthers, Sixers homers, blind loyalists and the premise remains exactly the same. The fact of the matter is those people, however you want to categorize them, fully bought into everything the Sixers did as an organization, no matter what it was, until game 7 vs Atlanta. And those very same people, who bought whatever this horrid organization shoveled down their gullet, have now become ironically(in my opinion) the most cynical faction of Sixers fans. Even more cynical than the small segment of fans who bailed after Hinkie was ousted in my estimation.

I was Process truther because that treadmill team of jrue and Iggy wasn’t going anywhere. But there was definitely a period when the process ended and that was when we made trades to pick up win now pieces to win now. And I despised the fast win now moves we made to please the anti process ppl. Trading for Tobias was a rushed move, trading for Butler for Richardson and signing Horford was dumb then and dumb now. It was a desperate rushed move. You can’t cry about the Process then call those fast winning moves part of the process because they were made to please the league and those who hated the tanking, collecting assets. Funny nobody hates that OKC did the same thing. They still haven’t made any win now moves. They just let the talent grow and still have all those picks. Wish the league just let us do that.

I imagine Portland doesn't care about Boston one iota.

They should feel very guilty though. The Celtics winning is like the Yankees winning the Series, or in Stanford terms like Les Habitants winning the Cup.

EDIT: In other words, almost everyone should be against it.

No.

Very gratified about the return on Lillard, though much of that is still pending.

Jarrett Culver was the name that popped for me. He's still relatively young and came into the league with a high upside.

Portland, Oregon was almost named Boston but the coin flip had other ideas.

Is 4-year, $160 mil outrageous for OG? That starts at $35 mil, leaving us about 25-30 mil cap depending on if we keep or trade #16.

Edit: this obviously pairs perfect with a Lauri trade ($18 mil) and a starting guard with the $7-12 mil remaining (again depending on #16).
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
