Yep, worse than Embiid. I'm not on the PG is trash train, sorry.

I'm not trying to trash the Celtics really. That Brown contract just gets really, really ugly especially when you're a 2nd apron team that's up for sale.

You're right of course, but it's still fun to ridicule Tatum.

Tatum has high highs and low lows, isn't flashy. But even very efficient considering they have the most talented team in the league with space galore.

They seriously just went off being the most talented team in the league with high risk 3-point heavy offense and fortunately a defense with real weakness. In a season or so, when they have to cut costs we'll see. He still has the ability to improve.

Crazy how Lauri came back down to earth this season.

It seems impossible that we're not the most disastrous, embarassing, heartbreaking franchise this season, but holy ****, the Mavs. I would never watch a basketball game again if I was a Mavs fan.

I get it. But we’re probably one of about 3 fanbases that should probably shut the hell up this year

With our luck, we're about 48 hours from hearing Maxey is going to have chronic back issues the rest of his career and we're 1 months away from Embiid medically retiring. And we're 2 months away from our pick going to OKC. So we can join them in the doldrums.

Hookah Doncic vs Zion should be a fun game.

I can't believe Dallas got rid of him because he was drinking beers and smoking hookah.

The league went comatose on Kyle Filipowski. No way should he have slipped all the way to the second round.

I wanted us to draft Ware and Filipowski with our pick, but I guess McCain was the better choice.

I don’t watch any other sports, but I’d like to ask—do players in other sports miss as many games or do load management as much as they do in the NBA?

I never heard the term outside of the NBA. Guys will get an occasional day off in baseball, it's such a long season, but there's nothing in any other sport that compares to the NBA.

Basketball players are also large human beings. Just being tall taxes on the joints. You are running and jumping all the time as well. Cutting in general

That makes it hard to compare to other sports imo. Different body types being tasked to do very different tasks

The closest comparison is probably a pitcher in baseball.

Right sport, but I'd say the closest is a catcher actually. They never play every game but some catchers play 135 games, some can play only 90-100 depending on the same type of physical wear and tear factors that the NBA considers

Isn’t American football a higher-risk sport? There’s even a documentary about head trauma and injuries. Plus, it’s way more physical.

Why does it feel like players in previous eras didn’t get injured or sit out as often?

Maybe it’s just amplified in our situation. I was looking at Jokic’s stats, and he barely misses games, so a Nuggets fan might not feel the same frustration we do.

Meanwhile, my NBA fantasy team has 5-6 guys on the injured list every week. I don’t even know what’s going on with Fred VanVleet—is he actually injured or just resting?
