I don't understand why we can't have another draft for a head coach? Just go by the original draft order...Taking a coach in the middle of the draft seems kind of illogical...You don't select your coaches during a draft, when your selecting a player. That pick is too valuable.

Doing a separate draft makes more sense. Why don't we take a vote, and see how other people feel about it?

I'll have to pass on the HC draft. It would be unfair to those with low draft picks.

That's the whole point...you have to give up something for a top tier head coach. Just another tier to making a complete team.

People with the lower picks would get scrubs. It's just fine as is. Just describe what type of offense you plan on running in the write-up.

Cinci, what for Haywood on one of your teams and Rondo on the other?

You would reverse the draft order...

To compensate for having lower picks in the player draft, you now get a higher pick...

In the real NBA draft, you don't draft your coach. I think it makes no sense to give up a huge pick to take a coach. I'm not giving up my number 1 or 2 pick to grab Phil Jackson...No one would do that...

This way it's even...

People with high picks, drafted great players...People with low picks draft great coaches...It actually seems more fair...

I think don't think it would work well that way. I agree with PK5 to just leave it for next year because like with the Knicks draft, coaches should be treated like how a team Defense is treated in Fantasy Football. Some might reach in a mid-late round for a great coach while others/most wait for the last rounds to make the coach selections.

If we do it like that, very little times do teams win championships with garbage coaches, so say if I am the 3rd pick(so 3rd to last pick) I'd be stuck with the bottom of the barrel type coach like a Jim O' Brien type, maybe worse and I wouldn't even get to pick a coach that would fit the style of play I want.

Yeah...no one would do that. It'd be more 7th or 8th round. Maybe 6th round for the Phil Jackson's.

I just think a coach is such an important aspect of a team. And considering we've got some pretty good judges coming to take a look I think we should have a COMPLETE team to judge. Maybe everyone can just pick a coach independent of every other team. For example every team could choose Phil Jackson or Tibs just as long as they include in their write up why they think they're the best coach for their team.

I'm always open to offers that don't involve Dwight, but I do consider him an important player in my rotation and I don't think theres anyone within his trade value that on your squad that I would like.

Well I would like a guy who can create his on shot and hit from various spots on the court, a guy you do have in Ben Gordon but I value defense very highly on my team.

I see your problem, as you already have a similar guy in Meeks. For what it's worth, I think when Gordon is being used effectively (non detroit) , his defense isnt as noticable.
