Pierre Jackson was an elite distributor at Baylor. And a pretty damn good one in the D-League.

Who would you compare him to? Isaiah Thomas?

I think this kid will be pretty good once Brett Brown undoes all of the bad the Kings did to him last year. He'll get a ton of burn with us, so that'll help him develop. Have to almost treat him like a rookie again this year - learning new teammates, system, etc. But Brown is the best man for this kind of job.

There were some pretty nasty rumors (rumors!) coming out of Sactown all year about how Boogie treated Nik like crap. Real bad stuff and the Kings did nothing to intervene. Really got into Nik's head I think.

He also struggled mightily with the size, strength of NBA players and guys coming at him hard. Supposedly he is spending allot of time back in Michigan with the strength coach this summer who made such an improvement to him between freshman and sophomore years.

Yeah, and Damon Stoudemire. Offensively, he compares to Terrell Brandon, too, but he'll never be the defender that Tee Bee was.

Stauskas was being compared to Klay Thompson coming out. What does Klay Thompson do so well in the NBA that Stauskas is not doing. I doubt Stauskas ever becomes even near as good of a player as Klay. Besides defense what is lacking in Stauskas' game? What about JJ Redick? What does he do so well that Stauskas is doing so poorly?

I'm sure it didn't help that Cousins caught Nik taking pictures of his money last year, that probably went over like a fart in church, although sometimes it might be better being an easy target. Being a rookie is probably bad enough, you don't need guys searching crap to get something on you.

Of course it was, but you know how us guys are, all the same. Find something to pick on and keep it up until something else pops up.

The best story of that is Amaro's rookie year and calling himself the "total package" while basically calling the rest of team slugs on a plane ride. He wrote that on a note to a flight attendant in his rookie year and one of other players swiped the note. Dude was called the total package forever, hell it kept Schilling from getting back to Philly.

I went to Spring training in '06 and met Amaro, yes I was stupid enough to ask about that incident, he walked away saying " every team must have **** fans". I didnt even know if the story was true until then.

Anybody want to make some predictions of what his numbers may look like this year? I'm thinking 10-13ppg on 40% 3pt shooting and 41% overall shooting.

It's a crazy steal all around for the Sixers. Perhaps this will be the year the Sixers will look interesting and maybe dare say fun to watch for a change. I always thought the Kings was the wrong place for Stauskas as the Kings are not known to develop their players well along with drafting well to boot. And today's trade prove it. If the Sixers do their job and develop Stauskas well, he could turn out to be a solid player for the team in the long run. Maybe the next JJ Redick.

I doubt it. Our s***y sports reporters couldn't even field questions for incoming draft picks.

They can't make the trade until July 9, so not for a week or so.

The Cousins stuff is probably overblown. Just would've been annoyed at their basketball illiterate owner making their lottery pick in a position they had taken in the lottery the year prior, which is only natural.

I do think we should ignore last year completely though. He's a really good 3pt shooter obviously, but I think he can be great. Not expecting much more but we can run him hard this year and get him going. He won't be Klay but he'll be a weapon. Defence needs loads of work but if we get him to mediocre, that's good enough.

I'd buy a DVD set of that '12-'13 Michigan team's season if they sold them. They were so fun to watch.
