Dunn looks good in this workout video.

I'm at the point where I'll be legitimately disappointed if Okafor isn't moved for a package built around Kris Dunn on draft day.

Dunn + Simmons + Embiid will be a terror defensively and in transition. Add guys like Jerami Grant and Nerlens Noel, and that's the start of a really fun team.

Well, who can argue with that reasoning?

Honestly, the Murray hype is ridiculous. Dude looks like he's running through quicksand. Would be another Jahlil Okafor situation. Murray does exactly one thing above average (shooting), and I'm not even sure that translates to the NBA that easily.

People are starting to overvalue shooting. Take a look at the top 3PT shooters in history, and tell me how many of those guys you would want to build a team around.

Steph + Klay are HISTORICALLY great shooters. Like, two of the best shooters EVER. And they still needed 7 games to beat OKC.

You honestly think Buddy Hield and Jamal Murray and Brandon Ingram are ever gonna make shots like those guys?

Dunn is a better option with Simmons. He does everything better, and will always do everything better than Murray except shoot. And he looks like he could become a decent to pretty good shooter himself.

Looking at this poll, I'm actually more surprised that there are this many people who think Jamaal Murray is worth the 3rd pick in the draft, than I am that there are lost souls in the other threads that believe Okafor can play an effective PF. SMH.

I don't think the Dunn/Murray debate is as clear cut as some people make it out to be. Murray to me doesn't look any less athletic than guys like Irving/Lillard/Curry etc. I also believe that Murray will continue to improve his shooting seeing as how he's only a freshman. Dunn is a better player right now but he's a senior who made very modest (if any) improvements over his junior year. I see him as a poor man's John Wall, whereas Murray could potentially become something like Lillard/Irving.

you can never have enough 2-way players..
Make them respond to your way of playing not the other way around

Murray doesn't have the aptitude for facilitation like Irving, Lillard and Curry. That's what makes them so dynamic

He's a pure SG, to me. Along the lines of guys like Nik Stauskas and Bradley Beal.

I really hope we do not trade for the 3rd pick. I would much rather try to trade for smart/Bradley and the nets 2017 pick and maximize our chances for that stud wing/PG in next year's draft

If I had to pick I would take Dunn, but I would not be overly thrilled to do that. If only it was the 3rd pick in a stronger draft...

Murray said his goal is to play PG in the NBA in his draft video. Lillard/Curry weren't great facilitators right away. It was something they had to work on in college. Eric Bledsoe did the same thing, but while in the NBA. So the precedence is there. He's much more valuable at the 1 than at the 2. If he can't make the switch to the 1 then I agree that Dunn would be the better pick.

I just want to make a move for Baldwin, whether it takes Saric, Covington, grant, or even Noel I want him to develop long term with Simmons.

Whats real terrible is trading away your best center before your so called
savior ever plays an nba game,if embiid can stay healthy and play for one
year without injury then maybe i pull the trigger but until then no way in
hell people, and dont talk about noel he is not a center and not even a starter
on most teams,no hands no handle and no offense, blocks shots sometimes
but not great on D.

I agree, his value is significantly higher if he can play the 1. Which is why he wants to try his hand at it. The question is if he has the creativy, court vision and distributing instincts to do so. I didn't see much of that from him this year. To me, the best Murray can do as a PG would be similar to Brandon Knight. I'm just not sure he has the instincts to be better than that.

Wrong thread, bro.

Nerlens Noel trade speculation is in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1448963

Murray played some PG for Canada in that tournament last summer didn't he? Didn't he play pretty well there if I remember correctly? I didn't watch many of his games so I can't say he played PG full time.

I'm very keen on Baldwin as well. 6'3" guard with a 6'11" wingspan, that's nuts. He has the same wingspan as Ben Simmons. Two years younger than Dunn and a much better shooter. I think he could become the next Chauncey Billups.

I'm completely against trading jah but give me Dunn I like his defense and it gives us a second playmaker with Simmons I believe he has borderline all star potential

Simmons will be put in a position to run and create offense 50%+ of the time.

I would rather have the roster filled out with shooters & natural scorers. Then have simmons share the ball with a dominant point guard who is not a great shooter.

I am ok with Dunn because he is advertised as a shutdown defender. But the scoring and upside of the 19yo murray seems like a better fit to me
