Long, two way player, athlete. If he can guard PGs, we can have a great defense. IMO, Brett Brown will let him earn his minutes. What's the worst thing that can happen? Sauce's feeling get hurt?

So, TLC is the final result of the MIA pick. If the 2015 MIA pick had conveyed at #11, these were the next six drafted players:

Myles Turner
Trey Lyles
Devin Booker
Cam Payne
Oubre

I am happy with Luwawu and prefer him to all but Booker. If we had the MIA pick in 2015, we might not have Ben Simmons. This worked out perfectly.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

He reminds me of Mario Hezoja

Good call. He sort of does. He reminds me a bit of Barbosa too.

I have to admit that this kid wasn't on my radar. I saw his name in mock drafts obviously, but I never knew much about him.

Reading about him and watching some highlights though has me excited. He looks like an athlete, than can handle the ball AND shoot. Usually guys that can handle, and shoot while also having athleticism go earlier in the draft. I'm not sure why he fell to us, but I'm happy to have him.

He should be the best guard on the team outside of Stauskus next year. If he can provide minutes right away you can imagine lineups with him and Stauskus at the guards which would give us some room with their shooting ability.

Good read on Luwawu for anyone looking for more info on him and his game.

Still in awe that we landed him at 24. Such a potential steal.

Draftexpress had him mocked at #12 just before the draft and Jaylen Brown at #8. I thought we would have to trade both our late 1st round picks to get him... I'm stoked with his potential, when it's all said and done he could end up being better than Brown.

I wanted to package our picks together for either him or Baldwin, so I'm pretty happy with this pick.

Honestly, other than Brown being 2 years younger, I think this guy has just as much upside as Brown and it's only because of the hype and visibility Brown received coming into college as a top 5 high school recruit that gave him a higher draft status than Luwawu. In fact, Luwawu may have even more upside since he is a better shooter and better ball-handler than Brown right now.

As of now, Brown is just a high flying athlete who is very raw.

He did play in a weaker league, which may overstate his athleticism. I do love the pick, but he may not be the athlete Brown is.

Good for him using both his names, Luwawu-Cabarrot, but that looks like a handful on the back of the jersey.

I don't think his athleticism is overstated. I've seen him drive and finish with a monstrous dunk that would be impressive even in practice.

I had him mocked #12 to Utah as well until they traded the pick. What a steal, not even having to trade any assets to get him. He could be a high level 3 and D guy and maybe even more if he shores up his handle because he has the athletic ability to finish at the rim. Already can run the fastbreak.

I think he may have dropped because there were concerns on how much the ridiculous pace Mega Leks played at masked his flaws, either way I'll GLADLY take him at #24.

Jaylen Brown
Marquese Chriss
Thon Maker
Taurean Prince
Georgios Papagiannis
Henry Ellenson
Malik Beasley
Caris LeVert
DeAndre Bembry
Malachi Richardson
Ante Zizic

All OVERDRAFTED. I wouldn't mind having an extra pick in the 20s in every draft because NBA teams are awful at drafting and a good player is all but guaranteed to fall to you. The only risk you run is another smart team picking behind you leap-frogging you in a trade up to nab that player.

Never heard of this site, but it gives Luawau a glowing scouting report.

This guy had Luwawu as the #4 player in the draft.
