If IND gets Gay, Teague/PG/Gay/Young/Jefferson 6th man: Turner.
This is an amazing offseason to build around PG.

A lot of teams positioning for AD, DMC and KD/Westbrook. Teams like LAL, Celtics and Magic making themselves into possible destinations.

have you seen the current lakers roster? I wouldn't even sign there, even if they offered me max money.

Re: Around the league 2016-2017
I like that the Nets are becoming less incompetent.
G Jeremy Lin / Isaiah Whitehead
G Tyler Johnson / Bojan Bogdanovic/ Sean Kilpatrick / Caris LeVert
F Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
F Trevor Booker / Thomas Robinson / Chris McCullough
C Brook Lopez
- Tyler Johnson was a good risk
- Jeremy Lin is a quality vet
- Isaiah Whitehead was a really smart pick in the 2nd round
- RHJ will be back and healthy
- Trevor Booker was a strong addition to help the frontcourt defense
They just need wing and center depth and they might not be a complete ****show this year.

They are getting better, but 1 injury to Lopez and they are bottom 3

That's some competent gm'ing there, for the first time in a while.

Suns- Okefor
76ers- Barnes
Warriors- tucker, chandler
Give you guys a front court of
Barnes
Simmons
Noel/embiid
That is a scary thought especially if Noel or Embiid live up to expectations. If they do then use one of them to get a PG or a SG and then you have a good basketball team!

Barnes? There's a chance that Luwawu can be a better player. I'm not paying max money for an average 3&D player. That's what player development and rebuilding process are for.

Was just about to post this. They just need to make smart moves one step at a time. IMO they are the biggest beneficiary of the cap situation. It allows them to improve their team with limited assets.

Re: Around the league 2016-2017
Lakers.
I think they acknowledge the unspoken 3 year rebuilding timeframe. Comparing us to them, makes you appreciate Hinkie.
I do think they are trying too hard to make the play-offs, that I don't know if signing Deng+Mozgov would help them long term.
I'd probably trade Randle and Clarkson for future picks as a hedge strategy.
For next season, their starting 5 doesn't look bad on paper:
DLo
Ingram
Deng
Randle
Mozgov
Can't help but notice that they're evolving towards a poor man's version of GSW.
In the future, I see DMC, AD and less likely but possible departure of Westbrook and KD from their teams. All LAL's got to do is to try to keep winning and prove that they have a promising winning environment.
So far, I think at some point I'd expect DMC or AD to play with them. They're much better than the current toxic environment both bigs are surrounded with.

Still bottom 5 to me.
Deng was very efficient with Miami as small ball PF btw. Don't think he has a lot of value at the SF anymore.

RIP Oklahoma city basketball. Durant leaving almost assures Westbrook is going to leave. Just send the team back to Seattle now.

Re: Around the league 2016-2017
Weak move by KD. I understand players want to win a title to cement their legacy, but taking the path of least resistance, especially joining the team you choked away a 3-1 conference finals lead to is lame.

At least he didn't go to Boston.

Re: Around the league 2016-2017
I know gs is extremely happy with their signing but they are giving up essentially their strength in numbers advantage for a super talent we don't know will fit. Kd has essentially been taking turns with Westbrook playing isolation basketball his entire career. Lol most likely they win it all next year with kd getting the easiest 30 ppg in nba history.
Does this also force klay Thompson into the stand in the corner role barnes has been playing for them?

Sounds like I'm alone on this, outside of the Bay area. But I'm freaking stoked to see what they do this year. Something will blow up some time, I don't see a massive dynasty personally. But they are going to play historic basketball as long as it lasts.

I'm sure it'll be fun basketball to watch no doubt. I'm also completely ok with him leaving okc. To leave and go to the team that just came back from a 3-1 deficit to go to the finals against you is kind of lame sauce. Especially with his feelings about super teams in the past.
