Maybe that's why we played Bolden last night? He played limited minutes, but it's good to see he looked like an actual NBA player. I'd like to see him play small-ball 5. We need to find a way to cut Embiid's minutes pretty soon.

Simmons(24)/Fultz(24)
Shamet(20)/Redick(28)
Butler(32)/Chandler(8)/Shamet(8)
Muscala(24)/Chandler(16)/Simmons(8)
Embiid(32)/Amir(8)/Bolden(8)
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards/Council
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

He's gonna get a scary contract this summer and I'll miss Cov, but F it, let's roll. We've now got a legit big 3, and all of them are strong defenders. Let's throw some shooters out there and let's roll!

peZt wrote:Depth at PF position is a concern now. Hopefully they won't start Simmons there with Fultz at PG. But surely they won't

Dario plays smaller than his 6 foot 10 frame. So I’m not concern losing the “big lineup”

The nba game is getting smaller not bigger. And Simmons is a luxury who can guard the power forward easily on defense.

Our closing lineup silll be embiid, Butler, simmons, jj Redick and whoever is hot for the game (chandler, Shamet etc)

This is an A quality deal. This team was going nowhere this year. Saric can’t defend the position, not a loss imo. Covington is a terrific player on a good contract but you have to give something. Wish it was Fultz.

Chandler replacing Saric is a net win.

I love Butler’s game, and he will be a dog in a series against the Celtics. I do worry about his volatile personality, but it’s a risk you take.

People worried about shooting, there’s plenty of time to pick some Belinelli type off the shelf.

We are contenders in the east. We were not yesterday.

David Griffin just said Saric is a plus defender on Sirius X-M. Thank god he’s not our gm

Yeah, for sure. The timing is just unfortunate.

For some reason other teams think we have no shooting now for some reason and forget we picked up Ilyasova and Belinelli for free last season.

Spacing definitely gets worse, but they should be worried more than they are. We're better with Butler, no question.

Butler shoots the 3 at about the same rate as Covington. And you know Fultz isn't going to be in the lineup.

Im sure we can acquire a stretch 4 by the all-star break either in a dump from a losing team or via the buy-out market.Last season we made Ersan and Belli millions of dollars on top of winning, good veterans/shooters should be lining up to latch on to us.

OK, but Covington is used entirely for spacing on the offensive end. He isn't given the ball on the perimeter and expected to create like Butler is. Now we have an additional player who is going to have the ball in his hands, which leaves Simmons even more off the ball than he is now.

Hey, take all the shots tonight because you wont be able to get this kind of opportunity for a long time.

Butler can create with the Ball on ISO with is a HUGE need and Butler can actually play PLAYOFFS defense
