Wright has 2 national championships at Villanova. He's already a legendary college coach. A more interesting opportunity would be to join Larry Brown as the only coach to win an NCAA and NBA championship. He'd also get paid a ton of money in the process. If it falls apart, I guarantee Villanova will fire whoever the coach is at the time on the spot to bring him back.

The Sixers have an ill fitting roster that can make a coach look bad. That's one reason I dont think the position is attractive.

There is also an uncertainty with regards to the FO. Brand could be fired next summer or even sooner and a coach hired by the previous regime is a dead man walking in the NBA.

Precisely the reason why it will be a retread hire.

Fire Brown to hire Lue, it is like when they fired Colangelo to hire Brand.

Ty Lue has a championship. Just like Spoelstra on the back of LeBron. He hasn’t had another shot yet, unlike Spoelstra.

Was he offense dumb? They took more 3’s than when Blatt (Euro coach like Brett) was the coach.

He’s beaten Stevens twice which is enough for me. The coach that just outcoached and outclassed our coach.

What exactly is the evidence that he can’t coach?

Lots of people thought the same about Spoelstra. Until he got a chance to prove himself. Ty Lue hasn’t had that chance, yet.

Give me Ty Lue please. A young coach who comes in commanding respect and knows what it takes to win a championship. He’s been there and done that as a player and more importantly as a coach.

A disgrace for this franchise, the real responsible in "process" failure, he should have gone three years ago.
Zero development for young talents, zero improvement for every player he coached here, zero building of winning mentality, zero reading during matches.

Spoelstra was picked by Pat Riley and stayed even with Bron trying to get him out of there. Lue was picked by Bron...to be his bitch...and was constantly ignored.

You could be right but he showed me nothing really then to be excited by.

The best coaching hires seem to be the ones no one is constantly beating the drum for. Lue has been up for every job and still doesn't have one.

He was up for the Lakers job, they lowballed him and he valued himself so he didn’t take it. What other job has he been up for? The Nets I guess but that’s a compliment imo

Riley also hand picked Stan Van Gundy, you want to hire him?

He hasnt shown anything as a coach and he was fired from the rebuilding Cavs shortly after Lebron left.

There is probably no other coach in the NBA that want's the job more than Stan Van Gundy. True Story.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)
