I vote yes.
Let’s be real. There is a 3-year window for Embiid Simmons or Embiid Harden to win title.
Because if Embiid Simmons won’t win one in a three years, one of them will demand a trade.
It’s inevitable. Because that is what the modern NBA be like and that will mean Simmons and Embiid have not reached the main goal of winning title.

So... I think the chance of Harden Embiid winning title in the next three years is higher then Simmons Embiid.

Simmons/Horford/#21 for Harden/Covington. Probably my best offer for a trade involving Ben.

Harden(34)/Milton(14)
Richardson(30)/Milton(10)/Korkmaz(8)
Covington(16)/Thybulle(28)/Korkmaz(4)
Harris(34)/Covington(14)
Embiid(30)/Noel(18)

Harden/Milton/#49
Richardson/Korkmaz/Smith
Covington/Thybulle/Shayok
Harris/#34/#36
Embiid/Noel/Pelle

Would be hard to keep Richardson + Covington long-term with Harden/Harris/Embiid but I think having their bird rights would help? I'd have a lot of confidence in that team winning a chip next season, health provided.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards/Council
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

I already know you're a known irrational Simmons lover so I'm not going to bring logic and facts on to a debate with you.

First round sweep without Ben remember?

I would love to leave this dumpster fire if I were Ben, all you trying to throw him out of the city for Harden, for a quick unreliable championship window with an injury prone big man and a 31 yo ball hog.
Look at the rest of the competition, Lakers, clippers, now the nets and suns.
76ers ain’t gonna get close to winning a title even if we get Harden, all you get is, already demonstrated by Brand last season, wanting too much, too quick and wasting all young and good assets for a mirage, and end up getting no where for the next 10 years.

Sign me in.

Tge Process was about accumulatong top tier talent. With Harden+Embiid we'd have two top10 level talents. We'll never have that with Embiid+Simmons duo. Simple as that.

Suns with CP3 and Booker could be deadly, don’t forget the streak they had, now add CP3 to that. Or you didn’t know about the trade yet? Lol lol lol

He has 3 years left on his deal man, Harden has no leverage, if that's the best offer if you are HOU you just keep him, and that's what everyone, Woj-Stein, is saying that likely happens now

Like Horford+21 is not enough for Cov, so you are basically saying that Simmons is a better asset than Harden with that offer

Ben is really good, but Ben has no shot at being truly elite and is already 24, he is the player he is, likely top15-25 the next 4-5 years, never good enough to lead a team

76ers' fans gotta realize that

No he is not man, Harden is truly elite

The difference between top3-5 players in the league and just the rest who are normally fighting for All-NBA consideration but aren't just regulars is inmense, it's exponential to a bigger degree than people think

The jump in value for a team between Ben and Harden is tremendous

Yeah, I don't think you get better player than Simmons. But at this point, yes, Simmons trade value is higher than Hardens.
And it's not 3 years, it's 2. If you wait a year, you'll be forced to trade him for even less.
I mean, you should pray that Morey offers Ben, or you'll end up with LaVert lol

If I'm Houston, I'm doing what I can to make sure Simmons (or someone like him) is the return for Harden and not three painfully average Nets players. If that means taking Horford and 21 for Covington, I'm doing it. Simmons is what you want here. Someone his age with his accomplishments and team control is rarely ever available. That's what you do with the leverage you have. You get someone like Simmons.

The Horford+21 != Covington equation is irrelevant if that's what it takes.

We'll see if Harden actually opts out of a $47M/y PO by 22 at age 33, and if he wants out that badly

But still point stands, you wait, offers are gonna be way better than that, and if they take the Nets' deal that's going to include plenty of unprotected 1sts (which are more valuable assets than Ben also btw)

Ben's trade value ain't better than James man, not at all

The most important thing Houston can get from a Harden trade is future unprotected 1sts as late as possible, not a young player like Simmons already in a max deal who can't really get you into a championship window

Wrong, Harden has only 2 years of team control. The 3rd year is a player option.

Meanwhile, Simmons is under team control for FIVE YEARS.

There's no better player the Rockets can get than Ben Simmons.

So Harden will only go to Nets to play with Durant? Oh well. Fun to contemplate the perfect offensive balance for a little while. Guess our new brains are Just gonna hafta figure out Ben in the half court.

You're confused if you think future Nets unprotected 1sts are more valuable assets than Ben Simmons. Give me a break.
