He should get plenty of minutes now that James is gone. Can't wait!

It's a bench lineup to push the tempo and produce points with Embiid and Harden off the floor and also allow Maxey to grow more on -ball.

so a lineup to just run around for a couple minutes with no shooting/spacing, minimal defense, limited rebounding...

sounds like an easy 6-10 point deficit

Or they could get stops , create turnovers and get out on the break push the tempo for easy baskets. Something like what the new head coach usually coaches.

He should because he'll probably be a top 5-10 wing defender in the league.

Wow that's quite a hefty load you are placing on his inexperienced shoulders at this stage of the game. Or are you projecting x years into the future?
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Listen, Kobble isn’t the only one on this board who is allowed to make scorching hot takes.

That said, immediately top 10 wing defender in the league; I’ve seen enough from him.

I’ll let DPOY Marcus Smart know he’s not supposed to be a top defender.

Springers time has arrived. The guy has been doing nothing but playing basketball nonstop over the last two years. I think we're going to love this kid.

I'm a little disappointed that Springer has seemingly failed to develop any playmaking despite playing on the ball a lot in the g-league. I think he can score (not shoot) and defend in the NBA now and we can probably use that.

I predict he will have some splashy box scores when the team is short handed ala Shake, but he will be a useful player in a more limited role unlike Milton.

yeah he's no point guard and never will be imo - not enough handle or offensive savvy, he's gonna be a 2/3 wing type - but his defensive effort and instincts are top notch and his crazy strength and athleticism combo lets him play bigger than his listed size.

if he can cut down on TOs and get more consistent as a shooter, he's gonna be really hard to keep off the floor. He's bigger and stronger than Melton and already very close to the same level as a defender, just needs more reps to build confidence and get used to game speed.

To get enough court time to prove that… he’s going to have to be able to shoot it respectably. 34-35%. Can he do that? I don’t think so, but we’re going to find out,

We only have like 7.5 guys on the roster. He’s going to play 30-35 minutes by default at this point.
