Sometimes the grass isn’t always greener so to speak on the other side for James. I do believe he has a better chance in Philadelphia than with the MASH hospital squad in Los angles. But once he decides on something he doesn’t turn back even if it’s not wise

Riley and Dame are obviously trying to screw Portland though. I hope Cronin makes it out a winner here because of how the other parties are handling it.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards

Owners/GMs around the league are probably biting their nails as they watch this Dame situation play out. A guy of that caliber, on that contract, forcing his way out to a singular team of his choosing could set a rough precedent.

Regardless of stories that have been leaked huh the Blazers, I absolutely think they could have moved the #3 for an All-Star to win now with Dame.

That being said, the Blazers decided they wanted to rebuild instead. Can't blame them for that decision. And Dame asking out is at least a year too late.

Trying to force his way to Miami only works if Miami plays ball. Riley knows Lillard wants to be there and is actively undermining all other suitors so he can low ball. The Blazers saw what happened with the Durant trade, and expect that type of return from the Heat.

Just another tease lol.

It's hard to tell what he really thinks of Maxey based on that video. Some positive comments but did not affirm he believes he could ascend to a #2 on a championship-level team.

Doesn't sound like he expects Paul Reed in the starting lineup

Sounds like Nurse is a politician. Saying a lot of words without actually committing to anything. Smart.

No upside in making sweeping proclamations now just to appease impatient fanatics.

Morey keeping numerous roster spots open indicates the possibility of keeping roster flexibility for possible multiplayer return in a trade of Harris or Harden. If that doesn’t happen he’s not in a hurry since the roster fill will be all minimum contracts that can be filled almost at any time.

Reed starting over Tucker is not happening anytime soon, equally unlikely is including PJ in a trade. That is Embiid’s guy.

I can certainly see Paul Reed's value, but I see nothing that makes him a viable starter in the league at the present time, and I don't see how the benefits outweigh the drawbacks of his being on the court with Embiid at the same time. In certain situations against certain opposing personnel that may be true, but I don't see a good big picture argument for making Reed a starter in general.

PJ is highly likely to go in a trade with Harden if we're prioritizing cap flexibility next summer. If Embiid is on board w/that plan he's not going to force them to keep PJ.

I'm ready for the Embiid faux-injury, trade Harden for Clips 2 FRPs and expirings, Maxey as one year tank commander.

High lotto, Clips picks + extras for Doncic next offseason.

True. That is why I often post our player’s salaries as a percentage of the apron and luxury tax. It kind of gives us an indication of the resources to acquire other players that individual is costing us. It’s tough to mentally adjust an ever-evolving salary scale.
