Covington back is interesting. Another deflection monster to add to Oubre and Melton and his steal/block numbers are tremendous as always. I'm not sure how he's moving anymore but if he can corral his shot he's a great roleplayer to stick beside Maxey and Embiid.

Same with Batum and his size and shooting.

Obviously them being expirings and the relation to Morey's salary cap & max FA slot were the most important trinkets, but it never hurts to add more wings and some guys aren't immediate net negatives in a playoff caliber setting. *inb4 they're immediately fired into the ether*

Breath of fresh air to finally be finished with this saga.

I'd grade this trade 7.5/10.

The good:
- we got plenty of picks, more than I expected actually.
- 2 1sts
- 1 pick swap
- 2 2nds

Expiring contracts:
- All of Morris, Batum and Covington are expiring, so we're clearly getting rid of salary for the next summer
- they're all wings and can serve us this season

Not good:
- everyone we got in return is old, we didn't get any talent with an upside, so we're strictly relying on the fact that we'll be flipping a lot of these contracts, picks and potentially Tobias for a 3rd star (and no, it's not Lavine).

- not sure what to make of PJ leaving. I think I valued him more than a lot of people on this board. He did have a lot of flaws offensively, but I feel the guy held our locker room and defense together.

Considering the circunstances its not a bad deal. Also getting out of the PJ contract is a nice bonus.

Now lets see what we can get with those picks and expirings at the deadline. If somehow we end up with someone like Siakam its a great deal.

I’m happy we got length back. Now we have multiple setups and rotations to experiment with. Our depth is great which is something I thought we’d never achieve lol.

I’m still certain there’s a bigger trade on the horizon or FA at the end of this season.

Nuggets are still tier zero unless otherwise.

In a vacuum? I mean arguing over who's better between PJ, RoCo and Morris is like arguing that Danny Green should be included in that conversation. Getting rid of PJ's contract is absolutely for the best.

The Sixers had wanted to get two first-round picks out of a Harden trade, and believe that those assets -- coupled with the second-round picks and a pick swap -- give them a chance to pursue another high-level guard in a trade to partner with MVP Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey this season.
