Shame about Melton. I thought he was going to be here for a long time. Back injuries suck.

Suns pursuing Lowry. I wonder if he'd have been brought back by now if the Sixers wanted him. I don't mind letting him go as long as they have another option ready to pounce on. I would not give him more than the minimum.

I feel like Kelly Oubre was vastly underpaid compared to some of these other guys coming off injuries and making what they are making. It just makes you like Oubre all the more because I'm positive he could have gotten a lot more money had he chose to pursue it.

I'm very curious about the rumor from Spike that Oubre's teammates don't like him. Not sure I believe that.

The Sixers have not made one move that surprised me or wasn't seen as having a decent chance of happening for months so my opinion remains the same that it's not enough to beat the Celtics. They need to add a legitimate starter and a bench player for them to make a claim about being equal or better to the Celtics. Vegas is nuts putting us as number two title odds. One last thing for this rant Eric Gordon is 1000 years old physically and if they think they can play him more then 15 to 20 minutes per game they are nuts!

To be fair, many on this board were in complete meltdown violent mob mode calling for Morey's head.. Oddly, they've all gone quiet.

I'm calling bull-hockey on you. May 8th you lectured all of us how silly we were for thinking PG13 would sign into cap space and how that isn't how things work in the NBA. You always tell us how this or that is a bad move and you wouldn't do it; but you don't give a single "this is what I would do."

Would Kyle Anderson be the 4 we need?

I'd strong prefer DFS. Better shooter, way more athletic and a good defender. Then just get someone who can do your basic pick n roll at the PG spot.

Well that was enough money on a 1 year deal for Melton to give up Bird rights. That is unfortunate because I think he was far more important than the numbers would have indicated.

Yea we know he can’t shoot but like we need someone to facilitate, defend, rebound, and create turnovers. With Batum gone this becomes even more of a need. He also only costs cap space to acquire.

We have plenty of shooting with the rest of the roster anyways.

Kyle Anderson would make up for the loss of Batum. He's a very good passer, an aggressive defender, and while not as good of a shooter as Batum, he can hit an open three. At this point, if we were able to sign SLo-Mo I'd be all about it. Losing Batum is going to sting.

nah you don't want anyone the defense can cheat off of . Anderson was being guarded like PJ Tucker in the playoffs.

I don’t know if it’s his personality or maybe lack of shooting, but Oubre clearly isn’t a fit in a lot of places. He was coming off a just as good/if not better year and had to settle for the minimum last year. It’s our gain, but I don’t know how many other teams were looking to offer him anything more than the MLE…if that

lol. Klay didn't want to go to the Lakers and took less.

3/50 with Dallas vs 4/80 with the Lakers.

Ok...Spencer Dinwiddie as a Batum replacement? Good passer, can hit threes and handle the basketball. Not a great defender tho.

Haywood Highsmith as a complimentary wing?
