I would suspect she has that effect on anyone she works with. Marc Jackson (himself, not his brother's friend's friend's friend) became a giggling fool when he sat in for Alaa last season.

Yeah Kate is not very good and she brings out the worst in Alaa. He was much better last night w/a pro like Tirico and is also better with McGinnis. Hope we can upgrade from her soon.
