Trade prediction: #5/Collins/Clarkson/Springer/2026 1st/2027 LAL 1st for Jaylen Brown

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards

Ace wants Sixers, Wizards, or Nets. If we don't want him, it's time for those teams to pay up.

Incorrect, he doesn't want the Sixers.

Read on Twitter

So we'd have to take him despite wanting nothing to do with us.

That means those teams will have to PAY UP. There's no chance in hell he slides down that far.

Then who do Saltics take at #5? They're rumored to like Kasparas but seems too high for him. Maybe they won't care and take him anyway.

If no one bites he'll reduce the cost. There's no point to drop the price now before we're on the clock.

I could see them taking Tre or Ace, assuming VJ and Kon are gone. If Kon is still there, then Kon.

Interesting that Tankathon dropped Noa to #22 yesterday. Now in their latest update he's back up to #15, which seems more realistic.

I'm all about a series of trades down if we can grab Noa at #15 plus a haul of other picks. Hell yea.

The rumors that Morey is “asking too much” for the #3 pick signals to me that he’s actually very comfortable holding onto it and selecting his guy (whoever that is).

The move up trade to me is still the Sixers & Hornets pooling assets to convince SAS to drop to 4. Sixers get Harper, Charlotte gets Edgecombe, and everyone goes home happy.

Even though it is irrational and stupid, Ace not wanting to go here makes me want to draft him out of spite. Like I wish we could trade down to 6-7 and still draft him so not only does he end up here anyway, but still loses money vs what he would get at 3.

What you mean ? Hes 6'7 with a 7 ft wingspan and can score. He can play 3/4 spots. Ace upsides in a different tier than Vj can only play 2 . We don't need VJ. I'm tired of this he will never shoot better than maxey, mccain and grimes. Get off vj d*** . This is the most annoying part of the draft. I wish VJ wasn't in this years class because he so overhyped its comical.

Yea, but Ace shoots worse than VJ.

Image

VJ shot and impressive number on OPEN catch and shoot 3s, when teams dare him to shoot 45 total attempts. 36.3% overall on catch and shoot 3pters. Ace is 38.7 in that department. Over 60% catch and shoot 2s

Ace also shot better off the dribble while they both struggled Ace 24.4 and vj 20

If Noa slides, I desperately want Morey to trade back up.

Steph told Warriors not to draft him.

Kobe told Nets not to draft him.

I wonder how those situations turned out...

Ace can't play PF in this league. He'll get destroyed. He doesn't have an elite first step, which is why his defender is ALWAYS in front of him. He doesn't have point guard handles, which is WHY his defender is always in front of him AND he doesn't have vision like a point guard to pass to the open man.

He's Mikal Bridges. A nice 3&D

Talking ourselves out of selecting Bailey will probably come back to haunt us. How long have we desired an athletic wing to pair with Embiid? Bailey fits what we need and desire. If he is there at 3 and we haven't traded the pick in order to dump George, then Bailey should be the choice.

I don't buy the "too high" argument. If a guy is your guy, and your scouting department and FO personnel have identified him as the best fit for your program, I'm not sure why it would make a difference if you got him at #5 or #8. I'd be fine if Morey picked KJ or KK at #3 if a deal couldn't be made and those were the players he wanted.

My fear is Morey playing a game of chicken with WSH, BKN, and NO by picking Bailey at #3 without a deal in place, and them thinking he wouldn't do it. Coming out of this stuck with that guy is the ultimate nightmare, worse than trading #3 just for win-now pieces.

final **** takes on many prospects

Flagg: He's either White Kawhii or just ok. The hater in me wants to be a contrarian for the sake of it tho....**** Dallas

Harper: **** da Spurs. I get being scared of the shot but a potential bigger Brunson with elite finishing maaaaaan.

VJ: Been doing too much tape watching of him that all of his flaws stand out more. Feel like he is just smaller than his listed 6'5 as well. But da dunkz doe

Tre: my guy. **** defense yolo swag. Going to be real salty if he pans out but will TRY to not be the I TOLD YOU so guy either. (if he sucks then I will delete posts)

Ace: Still shook on passing on him despite it all. It would be our luck that a guy who randomly beats the odds is available and doesn't want to be here and/or we pass on him lol. I normally don't hate on young players so I won't here but I will be wishing that he is a bad chucker who gets paid so both sides win lol.

Kon: Great Tape. Great stats. Stupid Name. Don't know if he can hang. If the passing is really real tho has some sneaky Haliburton in that while he can' t create for himself the gravity of his shot and vision could open up the world...just not sure where you hide him on defense.

Queen: Fellow fat bois unite.

CMB: Taking non shooting players is scary but he is also just a tank who does everything else well....perhaps the Ben we needed all along? Intriguing trade back target

Fears: He'd get me fired. He's either Maxey or out of the league I feel.

KJac: Like the idea of him at the very least. Gotta hope that the hand injury was the real reason for the falloff.

Noa E: I am scared of French prospects due to TLC. And I think his tape is just ok. Don't see it but hey mystery box yo

Bryant: His highlights are the type of highlights that make you believe he could be a Klay Iggy Hybrid lol.

Coward: I'm sorry but I'm not taking a dude named Coward lol (no seriously tho...good prospect that I would overhype if we got him somehow)

Maluach: He is the one guy linked to us that I lowkey do not want. Can't teach size, he's young, yaddi yaddi yadda .....meh

Thierro: We have VJ at home but actually wing sized? Him being a growth spurt guy is super intruiging.

Powell: He's a guy if we had a normal season and still had a pick in the mid to late first that would check a lot of Morey boxes. Probably goes higher due to the insane drop off of talent.

Reynauld: Has a good highlight tape for a center. IIRC catching a random late night game of Stanford that he dominated too.

Demin: I think he sucks lol. Stiff upright handler with a meh shot...i don't get it

Riley: Ace Bailey at home via Canada. I think I caught everyone of his good games this year for some reason.

Yang: Chinese Jokic? No way we take him due to Morey's bad China ties. The Youth who know him as a liar will not have it

My current mock is just us taking VJ...which is boring and I no longer know if that is the correct move but the SCOUTS do deserve benefit of the doubt imo. I need the Spurs to either be stupid or be willing to take the Clippers pick...but they honestly should just take Harper as they really should'nt give a **** about Fox or Castle.....but pls be silly for once mayne. I'd be okay with Ace if his team gets the **** out of the way. Tre would be who I pick but I get that he ins't a great fit. Kon would make me think the Scouts are cooking tho because that does take some balls imo. But I am down for most of the realistic options at this time....so yeah

Nets AND Pelicans AND another team want to trade up to #3 for Ace! Bidding war is on!!!

According to that agent, don’t be surprised if Brooklyn makes a hard push to get into the 3rd spot to land Bailey, who’s been at the center of a growing swirl of pre-draft intrigue. Bailey, of course, has dominated pre-draft headlines after opting out of his scheduled workout with Philadelphia, who owns the No. 3 pick, and going completely radio silent on public workouts.

But here’s what I’ve heard: Bailey has completed at least one private workout with a team he’s zeroed in on. Which team? That part’s still murky. Nobody’s confirming. But let’s just say, some believe Bailey could be hoping to find his shooting rhythm in a city known for jazz.

But it’s not just Brooklyn. New Orleans has been linked to Bailey—the interest was first reported by Kevin O’Connor weeks ago—and it’s only intensified. I’ve been told the Pelicans are very, very serious about trying to move up and make Bailey their guy.

The recent acquisition of the 23rd pick? Sources say that’s part of a larger trade package they’re preparing, potentially aimed at Philadelphia or another team ahead of them on the board.

There’s also been buzz around other teams looking to leapfrog into the top three to ensure they’re in position for Bailey.
