Oh, the horror when the Colangelos screw it up...

Well, if you were hiring a new GM it makes more sense to do it a month before the draft than after.

A 23 year old from Europe speaking here, Allen Iverson was the most intruiging player I have ever seen and that's where my affection with the Sixers began. When I got older I started to follow the NBA on a more serious basis, the process was exciting, it was innovative, fun and smart. Hinkie stepping down is absolutely heartbreaking, he deserved to build a team with the assets he acquired. Although, I wasn't so sure if he was the right man for the job to create a legit championship team, so hiring a more suitable GM for this part of the rebuild would take some time for me, but I could at least understand the process.

Hiring the son of the new GM a couple of hours after firing Hinkie is :banghead:. Was this the purpose of Jerry all along? I'm absolutely disgusted that the franchise could let this happen, even if this nepotism family business succeeds.

If Danny Ferry fits the definition of racist then the word has lost its original meaning and isn't even worth using anymore.

And he'd be way better than BC. Not that that's saying a lot.

He waffles and flip flops more than a teenage girl at the mall. One minute, he's rebuilding, and then out of nowhere, he decides to go all in and win now in some desperate attempt for the 8th seed. He looked like he was patient, with a young core of DeMar and JV (both of whom we could've traded for Harden), and then he decides to have a big boner for Steve Nash and give Landry Fields insane money to prevent the Knicks from signing him, only for Nash to go elsewhere anyways. Have a solid backcourt in DeMar and Lowry and have no more touches to go around to other players since we need to feed JV for the good of his development? Trade for Rudy goddamn Gay. Desperate to keep Bosh? Trading a 1st for Jermaine O'Neal, flip O'Neal for Marion a few weeks later, and then let Marion go and sign Turkoglu to a ridiculous deal. That's not even getting into drafting Air Bargnani 1st overall, and then basically giving him preferential treatment and firing Smitch who, as bad a coach as he was, was only fired because he wouldn't go easy on poor Bargnani.

He has no clue how pieces on team fit and no long term vision and just has a corporate stench above him. The amount of times you'll hear him say "organic growth" will make you punt puppies in anger. Everyone says he drafted and traded for most of the Raps core. I guarantee you, however, that we wouldn't be the team we are today if not for Masai, who actually has vision and knows how to build a TEAM and not a collection of talent like BC.

Except he's not good at you know drafting. His drafts when he was with the raps were uneven.

He selected Bargs over LMA. Ross over Drummond. Traded Hibbert for Oneal. The only two picks he hit on really are Derozen and Jonas. Drafted TJ Tucker over Paul Millasp. Traded Goran Dragic for Giorgos Printezis

Two picks over the course of six seasons is not a great drafter. Hinkie has hit on pretty all his first round picks with the exception of Embiid which could still work out.

He doesn't have an Andrea Bargs in his resume. He also doesn't have the record of god awful trades and signings either. Hedo, Kleiza, Peja (trade), Oneal (trade), Landry, Jorge Garbajosa, Fred Jones, and he tried to trade for Steve Nash and move Lowry.

He'd certainly be better then BC but pretty much anyone would. BC is so bad the Nets walked away and lets face it there weren't a ton of candidates knocking down the door for the job.

The problem with Ferry is he is going to be a determent when it comes to FA probably even more so then Hinkie because even if you don't think he is racist his comments certainly came across that way. Which is in large part of why he was fired. Hinkie main problem was going to be attracting free agents (what a bogus reason to fire someone shows you how weak JC case was) and with agents well Ferry is going to have the same problem.

3 Diff owners and mad GMs, none of them know what they're doing. Doesn't make sense to follow fools blindly, I'll rock with people who know what they're doing.

Im sorry but thats pretty weak...

With zero titles. Which is why we play the games in the first place. Not trying to knock you guys; but his point simply is you take the chance at greatness, you don't strive to be just good.

Reading the letter I smack my head and think if things had gone a bit better he would have been our Gm for 20 years, instead we get 3. The man is brilliant, calculated, humble, conscious.

Knowing the Colangelos

Brown will be fired, in favour of D'Antoni.

Okafor, our 2016 1st, sac's unprotected 1st will be traded for griffin

Hield will be picked with Lakers' pick

Ish will re-sign a 50m/5 year contract

Kent Bazemore will sign with a max contract

Embiid will be waived in mid season after he re-injured in the summer league

If Embiid gets hurt again (foot) then he should be released.

It sickens me to think that BC is going to turn us into a treadmill team once again. A 30 win jump is more than enough to win him the executive of the year. He will overpay mediocre free agents and trade for over-the-hill vets just to make this team "competitive" again

Bryan is immaculately dressed. There, that's it, the only compliment I can muster for this incompetent.

Sam seemingly had no instincts for building a real team, a one way GM, much like Okafor and Noel as players. But.....he did set this up perfectly for even a semi competent person. The only way they could balls this up would be to hire Billy King or Bryan Colangelo. We fell into a bucket of nipples and somehow came up sucking our thumbs.

Ferry would have been a great pick. Built that Atlanta team up brilliantly and bullied BC level GMs, now they look rudderless without him.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
