I feel like we haven't had that moment since like RoCo and TJ McConnell days.

Is Bamba seriously unplayable in the playoffs or something? I've been a Reed defender since the Rivers era but he ain't got it, at least in this series.

Will Nurse have finally learned his lesson?

Keeping Embiid in the game tonight with a 5-point lead only for a hobbled and gassed Embiid to be on the court while the Knicks then go on a 8-0 run serves NO PURPOSE AT ALL.

If you're going to let teams go on a run *with* a gassed Embiid, then take him out so when you put him back in you have a better chance of making up for whatever you 'gave up' with him out, but fresher.

Suns fan here, watching yall series has been a relief from what I’ve been seeing with my team. Feels like both yall teams playing a whole another sport than whatever we were doing.

Question though, what’s the general opinion you guys have of the job Nick Nurse has done this season? Just curious.

The Sixers figured that Brunson as great as he is. Is the Knicks only shot creator.

When Knicks were up 96-90 with 28 seconds to go in the 4th, espn had it as 95% chance Knicks win. Maxey with 7 points in ~17 seconds to send us to OT.

Love that Tobias finally shut up the mouth breathers tonight in the biggest game of the season atm. Love me some Tobias

Holy crap with Maxey. This kid wows me every single time watching him. I hope it turns into his team going forward. It'll help Embiid focus more on defense and give him much needed rest that he desperately needs with everything going on from him. While his shooting wasn't all that tonight he gave us a ton of other great moments. The turnovers were irritating but they always happen when he's exhausted. Ties into what I mentioned about Maxey taking more of the load going forward

Problem is they get down quickly with BBall in. They tried a short time with a small ball lineup, but that didn't work great either. Only other real option is Bamba. I wouldn't be surprised to see him next game, but I'm skeptical that he'll fare any better.

He's amazing.

Honestly, I can't evaluate head coaches all that well... but I can say he's worlds and worlds better than Doc was. I'd say his most important coaching skill is not being Doc Rivers, and he's excellent at it.

Underwhelming . But I do give him a little bit of a pass as MOREY had done nothing but fill placeholders around Embiid and Maxey in preparation for the offseason.

I can't believe what I just watched. WOW!

1) Maxey
2) Someone finally saved Embiid
3) I'm not critical of Joel. The guy is dealing with a lot.
4) Joel might need two more surgeries after this series.
5) Tobias wasn't useless
6) Wow

I think he’s proven it now.

We musr heavily consider building with a Tyrese-centric plan in mind.

Offense looked a whole lot better. More movement, harder to defend. Unimpressed with his decisions this series though.

This is the way he needs to play next season plus assists and steals he's talented enough to do that. I love Embiid but he can't stay healthy enough to be a number 1 option he also is a mediocre leader. Give the reigns to Maxey he may not be as talented as Embiid but he has the intangibles and he continues to improve to be that guy. Just put the right pieces around him like they unfortunately couldnt do with Embiid.

I agree that defense and rebounding Jo is a better Jo.

Just insane. I feel like usually we’re on the other end of things like this. One of the wildest endings to a sixers game I’ve ever seen. Even if we lose the series, at least this somewhat makes up for our choke in game 2.

I said it months ago and it’s not popular, maxey needs to be the focal point of the offense from here on. Joel just can’t stay healthy and to be honest is not reliable in elimination games. Maxey has heart and the game to be the number 1 guy.

He's definitely better than Rivers as a coach. He's made some questionable decisions at times, mainly overplaying Embiid in second halves and not playing a guy like Council whose energy and intensity would match those of the Knicks on the boards IMO. All in all, he's playing with the hand he's been dealt by Morey. Ask this question again come next season.

I mean did those guys also have 9 turnovers? He did the right thing and deferred to Maxey. He is the most talented player on the floor I'm not impressed lol

Most will answer negatively. I like the job he's done. It's really hard to see that in this first round with the refs being in the Knicks pocket but in the moments they Don't pull the bs you can see all the good he's done with our unit.

One knock I'll say is he should've had our bench more ready or figured out who his true #1 guy is which he didn't. So we're playing musical chairs with our bench hoping and praying someone steps up.

Between the refs and that bench issue is why we're here fighting to stay alive
