Together would be ~47M leaving ~30M in space.

Could easily sign KCP (22M), Batum (7M), Oubre MLE

Maxey KCP Ingram Nance Embiid
McCain Oubre RC4 Batum Reed

Ingram is intriguing because he has a pretty good BBall IQ. Ball doesn’t stick unless he feels he has a mismatch but his game went from 6 threes a game at solid avg to midrange merchant. If he willing to take 6 threes a game at 37-38% like his first two season in NOP he would be a good fit outside of his average defense. It wouldn’t be worse then Tobias tho and he actually blocks shots.

Being optimistic but I feel like if news broke he was gonna opt out and then sign with Philly after all the news that we were gonna go hard at him and after embiid did what he did, we would get punished lol. Reports came out we waned on him right after embiid tampered.
Players can't tamper. Nothing against them talking. It's management and gms that can't. Nothing illegal about what Embiid did.

Spending almost $20M on Nance + Batum to be a below average PF duo would be a pretty horrific use of resources. Just get a good player if you’re going to spend that much.

Ingram is a better player.

Easily.

Better how? Like, overall 2K rating type of thing? Might be true in that sense. I think Ingram is a better on ball, scoring option. But I don't think he's a 2nd option on a contender, and Mikal's defense and shooting make him a clearly better 3rd option or lower, which is a role I think he's capable of filling on a contender.

So like... Who's better? I dunno. But Bridges feels like clearly a more valuable piece in a winning situation.

What's 20M get you at PF in terms of an individual player in this market? Obi Toppin? Maybe Pat Williams if you're lucky?

Not that I'm pounding the table for an oft-injured Nance.

Actual playmaking ability, good passer, significantly better free throw rate, better rebounder.

Right. Bridges has more trade value because he fits on every team in whatever role is needed of him. That's why he could fetch 5 firsts while Ingram will be a tougher sell. But Ingram is the better player. Higher ceiling, but trickier to make work.

Trade for John Collins or DeAndre Hunter. Jalen Smith? Hell, I’d take Tauren Prince over Larry Nance too.
Just off the top of my head…there have to be better options.
I also don’t love Batum as much as most here. I think he got overrated just because he was an improvement over the lifeless body that was PJ. 12-15 mins a night on vet min I’d welcome Batum back, but I’d let him walk if he gets any other real offers.

Gonna be tough to actually execute a trade. They want to just sign guys outright. Trading for a guy and taking him into space hard caps you at the 1st apron. And paying Maxey after using cap space is going to take them over the 1st apron. Ad that's without touching the room exception.

If they're making trades, they're staying over the cap and S&T guys.

The 1st apron is $178 mil and the cap is $141. Subtract Maxey’s $14 mil cap hold from the amount of his first year ($35?) and add that to $141 and we’d still be about $15-20 mil below.

PG
I think I heard on ESPN hus catch & shoot three-point efficiency was at 44%. That’s absurd.

Paul George is also a better one on one player a much better overall player than Brandon Ingram. If we have to overpay to get him, we can do it.

I think if PG opts out, the odds move to like 75% the Sixers get him. I think if he opts out he's obviously not going to any non Clippers, Sixers teams, and if the Clippers were willing to pay him they've done so already.

Conversely, if he opts in, I think the chances move to like 5%.

Yea I think he has until tomorrow night. So we’ll know one way or the other soon. My guess is we are waiting to see what happens with him and if we don’t get him, we pivot to Ingram. That is dicey though, because then I wonder if NO has more leverage when they know we’ve struck out and need BI now badly.

FWIW Kyle Neubeck said he gets the sense the Sixers still feel very good about their standing and plans heading into free agency. He said if the Sixers were not confident they were able to get things they want done, you'd hear spin coming out by now and the Sixers are not putting anything like that out there.

I don't think he's going to get the Clippers on board and the Clippers likely don't want to hand him over to a competitor even if it yields assets.

I think everything is already set but the narrative is him weighing out the options to generate clicks. If he's not coming to us, then he's returning to LAC.

Neubeck said the Sixers have greater interest in KCP than Klay Thompson.
