The longer I think about it, Edgecombe feels like a very safe pick to me which kind of disqualifies him for a top 3 pick. He's not going to be an on ball player really. Lacks the handles to just go get you a bucket. Don't get me wrong, he's an elite role player and will likely be a massive piece for a team, but I don't see him being a multiple time all star.

The ones that fit the all star mold, to me, are: Flagg, Harper, Tre, Fears, Queen. Flagg is easy to explain. Harper gives me massive pause because his team is hot trash. Tre is atrocious on defense and will be targeted in the playoffs. Fears is questionable in his size. Queen has his weight issue and jumpshots falling. So my ranking at the moment (subject to change of course) is: Flagg, Queen, Harper, Fears, Tre.

I really think Queen could play PF for us with Embiid and make the entire team better. I'm talking he's a Draymond Green type PF for us.

Spoiler: I don't know much about these prospects yet.

But is it crazy to say Bailey = MPJ? That's what I get from a surface level view.

Now I'm not a huge MPJ fan, but he can be a helpful player in the right situation. Not someone you take at 3, though.

With those picks, we'd be able land both Carter Bryant and Miles Byrd. Two of the best three and D guys in the class. We'd also be able to land one of the playmaking Cs. Someone like Johni Broome, Danny Wolf, or Alex Condon.

I’m starting to think this wouldn’t be the worst move. Ideally, we move up to three in the lottery and the Nets desperately want Ace, so we trade with them for pick(s) this year and future pick(s). After the top two, we’re in role player territory, so it’d be better to punt to another year if a team is desperate enough for Ace.

I´m in the Edgecombe or tre bandwagon. I just dont want the 3rd pick: i want us to pick top two ( to pick Flagg or Harper) or at 4th or 5th ( to get EdgeCombe or Tre). I think Ace has the physical traits to suceed, but he has bust potential too. He was supposed to be more dominant. So i dont wanna be in that position to have to make that choice.

Edgecomb is a nuts athlete and I think you should always take guys with freak traits

but he also is probably closer to 6'3 than 6'5 and has a mid wingspan.

Wesley Yates I has higher star potential that any guard not named Dylan Harper in this draft.

Knueppel has my attention after his performance today carrying Duke to the win in the absence of Flagg. If he can take Duke the distance in the ACC as a creator, I'm on board.

Miles Byrd is a must draft for us. Possibly the best defender in the draft and has ballhandling chops. Shooting 80+% from FT. I know it's somewhat laughable to believe for our team, but he can figure out his jump shot with time. He can put on weight and be better shooting at the rim. But his defense can't be taught; and at 6'7? He should be a lottery pick.

Oweh once again proving he's a first rounder after another game winner against OU. Just a clutch badass.

Interested to see his measurements. Seems like every prospect after the top 3 is smaller than listed.

Offensively, to me, they look extremely similar. Monk was more off ball because of Fox and was probably a quicker trigger shooting the ball, but same deliberate, one to two moves then shoot. Not saying it’s a bad thing, but we can’t expect him to be SGA who did/does a ton of counter moves depending on what the defense gives him.

Defensively, Edgecombe is on another planet from Monk. He also looks a little taller when watching the two videos

The end of the game last night should have been an cakewalk but Texas, especially Tre, couldn't defend a soul, so they gave up a ton of points. If you can't defend anyone, then it's hard to keep you on the court in the NBA.

Our coach is in way over his head because of a fluke Elite 8 run after Beard f’ed up. We have no discernible offensive or defensive scheme. We absolutely flushed our one year with Johnson down the toilet. Not saying his defensive concerns are overblown, but Tre to me is someone who’s scouting report is depressed by piss poor coaching. He’s going to be a better pro than college.

I have him third before Edgecombe and Queen. I’m completely out on Bailey.

Yaxel Lendeborg!!!

30 points, 20 rebounds, 8 assists, 5 steals, 4 blocks

This guy 100% can be a culture-changer in the NBA with his all-around game and energy.

I'm now very concerned he won't be available at our 2nd round pick.

We need Yaxel to refuse to sign with any other 2nd rounders and strongarm his way to his hometown team!

Conference Tourney:
Liam McNeely: 28 FGA, 0 assists

Thats a rough 2 game stretch for him. I really do think he'll be a good player in the league, but he absolutely has to commit to moving the basketball or he's just going to be a stand in the corner and shoot threes guy.

Bro, I was messing around on Tankathon's "Compare Players" feature.

https://www.tankathon.com/players/compare?players=yaxel-lendeborg--draymond-green

There's some similarities here with rebounds, assists, and defense.
