And I will disagree with you on the rebounding issue.

The sixers were lucky to be in the second round, and Doug collins was out coached by doc rivers.

The sixers lasted as long as they did in the second round due to a few players...Evan Turner didn't carry them that far...

Kris Humphries having a career year on a contract drive and trying to get a reality show
turning the keys over to a 3rd year player who already looks like a bust
Turning the franchise over to a megalomaniacal insecure egotist

I thought the sixers GOT new owners - they are functioning a lot like the older owners

I'd be happy with Henson if they chose to go that route.

You should work on your short term memory - it wasn't that long ago the sixers had a great shot blocker - but he was a 'cancer' so they gave him up for the rabid republican

You mean the mental midget himself, Sammy D? We ought to be glad to cleanse ourselves of that guy.

Neither has Andre Iguodala lol.

So trade him while the getting is good. But forget about Humphries. I would go the WFC personally with a machete looking for members of the FO.

catch and shoot 3s and (Please Use More Appropriate Word) iso mid range fadeaways are more efficient? As opposed to Turner's ability to drive and finish in the lane? ET can't shoot, everyone here knows that but with his character and drive in mind, it's not exactly a leap of faith to believe he'll develop it soon enough. Stop reading too deep into statistics and watch a few games.

I am a big Iggy fan and there's no question the value he brings to a team but please make more informed and varied posts instead of bashing Turner any chance you get. You've managed to become probably the most annoying poster here in a matter of weeks.

edit: its only been 1 week, but felt like much more.

some of the moves dont bring sexy name players but they improve some deficiencies from last year. i dont think they create glaring holes elsewhere.

so it's looking like next years roster is

jrue
turner/ross
jefferson/wright
humpries/henson
vuc?/lavoy

who on this team is going to score? whos going to hit the last second shot to win the game? also, there go our chances at getting a big time fa next year. looks like we are in for another 5 years of mediocrity. so excited :D

if we go henson... we arent signing humprhies... they play the same position and neither can play center

if we take drummond then humphries is an option

does anyone know if richard jefferson is still a solid wing defender?

if so, having him here to hit open 3's which he does and play solid defense is not a horrible thing next to turner... turner then has 2 guys around him at PG and SF who can hit the 3... and a SF off the bench in wright who can hit the 3

i really hope we get a pick at 7 and 15 and pick the right 2 guys... it oculd really turn things around and make for a fun season to watch even if its a non playoff season which means another lottery pick

So if none of this happens and we end up trading Jrue, Thad, Vucevic and #15 for Dwight, then sign Deron and keep Iguodala.....do we stop believing everything sixerfan says? Small chance of this happening but after amnestying Brand we're in pretty much the same situation that Miami was in back in the summer that they signed Bron and Bosh. Along with Iguodala and Dwight being bff like Wade and Bron there's a lot of similaraties between the two situations. I don't care what any report says...Dwight is not going to stay another whole year on the Magic, he's going to be traded and the Mavericks don't have a damn thing to give up for him. The only teams that would be contenders and would have the assets to complete a trade would be OKC, Philly, Brooklyn and LA. That's it. But Brooklyn and Philly are the only two that could offer them the chance to play together.

im not worried about sucking next year... as long as it is hardcore sucking and no playoffs... we get anohter lottery pick that way

this is why i dont want henson... he probably wont even start!!

if you draft drummond, he starts right away, and you can go out and get a FA PF to come in next to him or even keep brand for one more year

Chicago has apparently offered Deng and 29th pick for the 7th pick Wright and Beans.

So we might have a challenger here.

getting drummond(7th) and pj3(15th) would be amazing. if somehow they both reach their full potential, we'd be set. and if they both end up being busts, at least we'll be high in the lottery.

cant imagine why anyone would take deng and him missing half of next season over iguodala... even if the 29th pick is thrown in... we can just throw in a 2nd rounder

no way someone would be dumb enough to do that

Damn, Chicago would rape with that trade. Wright is a similar player and wouldn't be a huge dropoff from Deng as well as being cheaper while nabbing the 7th pick.
