guess he wouldnt have said a thing, until he was COMPARED to ayton on national tv. that comparison was an insult to him, because ayton plays lil d, while embiid takes pride on his d. dont get why anybody is mad at jojo. you should be mad at billups (think it was him) who made that stupid comp.

Ahhh I do think Jojo takes it too far sometimes. As a Sixer fan its 'hilarious' but to players and fans of other teams it isn't as funny when your the target it of it. I do wish he would calm it down somewhat, some guys who could actually play for us and help the team might not come just cause of something he has said in the past. Guys these days are sensitive, so his antics can make them not want to come here and play with him as a free agent for cheaper than normal.

He is at least universally understood to be good natured about it. He is a goof ball and may go too far someday, but I think that his personality is one of his biggest strengths.

Don't you also think you might be a little biased? Just saying, all the noise talking to Drummond and such in just 63 games, it will add up when you want other guys to team up with you, especially someone who is getting up in years and maybe looking for a ring around our timeframe.

I just wonder how bad will he be in a few years....he is a goof ball, I get that, but some guys might not take it that way. Ali was probably the greatest noise talker of all time, and in his sport most of his fellow boxers hated him for it and only grew to like him after his retirement. Now Jojo is nowhere near in Ali's universe, but point being, all that talk does take its toll.

I am certainly biased, but I don’t think he has crossed a line yet. He is trash talking, and trash talking has a long tradition in sports.

He has said a lot of stuff about Drummond and Whiteside, but they seem to take it in stride. It’s competitiveness.

Ali was more obnoxious and over the top than Embiid has been. What Ali said about Frazier for example goes way beyond anything that Embiid has done.

True, although I do think Whiteside took exception to it. Nah he hasn't gone as far as Ali yet of course, but we never know whats coming when he actually knows he going to win and have won for years like Ali.

I'm probably biased myself, but I don't live in Philly, so I've heard alot of people saying negative things about him cause of it. Nothing too bad yet, but I just wonder where its going cause he didn't have any reason to say that about Ayton. Heck, Ben was compared to Bron, would Bron have done that to Ben.....of course not.

I do think its funny, but I also know there is a difference between talking noise on the court and doing it involving the real and social media. Jordan was a huge trash talker on the court, but never took it into the media....just saying.

The only thing that I read about him saying anything about Ayton was that, when someone compared him to Embiid, Embiid balked because he said that he played defense. So he basically implied that Ayton didn’t play defense, which is actually a true statement.

It’s about as mild a trash talk as could be said. Larry Bird did this stuff to a legendary level and he was respected. As long as Embiid backs it up on the court, and doesn’t get personal with non basketball disses, then I think he will be fine, and respected around the league.

this summer, No. 1 was just low-post dominance,” Hanlen said. “Obviously he was really good in the mid-post last season, but when you look at the game where he had like 46 points, the Lakers game, and the game before when I think he had [32] against the Clippers, he was a bully down low. Our first thing is just becoming a bully on the block.

I was just wanted to post (pun intended) something opposite. I think he needs to improve his mid post and tightening his handle because getting deep in the post is heavily challenged with refs allowing fouls (baynes) and TO prone.

LMA leads the league in post attempts and he does most of his damage at the mid range i believe. Aside from LMA, Biid should pattern his game to TD.

The reason why he was successful in that LA game was they put Randle on him down the stretch (he pulled the dream shake with). If not Randle, it was BroLo.

DeAndre is not a good individual defender. He's like Roco in a sense that he's more of a team defender that is only interested for deflections. Even Okafor has a good scoring game against him.

If you look at Olajuwon. What makes him lethal is his elite mid range game couple with his quickness. Once defender respects your jumper, you can keep him dancing.

But then.. Im just a guy in realgm and he's hanlen so what do i know. Hahaha

If you click through and read the article he talks about how one of the other things they are working on is limiting turnovers on plays starting on the perimeter and midpost.

Jojo needs a whole lot more strength from the waist and below to be in Shaq's universe, which is probably the most underrated thing about Shaq. Yeah he was big, especially in his later years, but where he was big in his prime was a bigger problem.

Jojo just doesn't have that kind of lower body strength that Shaq was born with and probably never will, but he has alot more skills and touch than Shaq ever had so theres that. Both are big, totally different players though.

Good. He can dribble when facing up, but struggles with back to the basket. Def needs to improve that.

We always said Jojo would be unstoppable in the post without a double team, yet he struggled with Baynes and occasional help, because he kept turning it over.
