Too toxic. Will return by offseason and I invite you guys to do the same.

For now, this guys just want a scape goat.

I’ve only been saying that for months now.

I was mocked for wanting to trade Ben for a depth package and picks. Wouldn’t have helped this year obviously, but there would at least be hope. I’ve never felt so defeated about this franchise going forward

You weren't mocked by me, that's for sure. I too suggested a youth movement in exchange for Simmons. I thought it would have brought a ton of energy to this team and allowed Embiid to age gracefully. My theory was ONE of the young additions would eventually elevate to superstar status. I banged the table for Haliburton. Still think he's going to be a star in the next couple years.

Is it the hidden trove of talent on Sacramento that's needed to make salaries match that would be saving us in this game right now?

Nope. We’d 100% be in the same spot, maybe even be eliminated already. But we’d have hope moving forward. We have little to no hope with Harden opting in to his inflated contract.

No one wants Tobi on a max deal
Thybulle killed his value as a trade chip
What else do we have to reshape this roster?

Well... that's not what we were talking about.

Whether the cap flexibility would position us better long term is a different conversation.

Why blame Elton? He's just the front man for that meddling little turd Josh Harris.

Still can’t believe we chose he who shall not be named over Jimmy. Franchise crippling decision
always a jump shot away.

I don't really see that at all. Assets that existed then are gone, the team has aged. Draft picks are either traded or locked into possible trades making them untradeable. The salary cap situation now is 1000x worse than that off-season as well.

Why?

We have tradeable assets and the MLE.

Green + Matisse + Shake/Forkan is around 20 millions in a trade. The team needs just one or two athletics 3&D guys who can space the floor.

Maxey is gonna keep developing next year and we finally have a PF/C back up on Bball. Bassey can be another asset

I just don't see all the negativity

Brett Brown pushed him out personally. It's really sad we let an egomaniac chase out the leader of the best and most fun team we've experienced since Iverson.

Tobias reverted to form the last few games. Back to being a massive negative. Just in time for trade season!

Brett told Elton he was fine with maxing Jimmy if he could be controlled and not a distraction. Jimmy found out and cut all talks with the 76ers org that summer.

The FA doc he filmed finding a house in PA never got released beyond the first episode.

But I’ll be honest, the narrative that he’s immune from criticism each year because he has injuries is getting lame.

There is never going to be a magical year where he’s healthy in the playoffs. It will always be something.

So,you want to trade him i guess?

At this point I’m not opposed to going scorched earth. Too many things have to go perfectly this offseason to really be a championship contender. And I doubt it works out that way.

I think people want to believe a few moves around the edges here and there and a few new bench pieces will make a difference. I’m not so sure.
