Hell yea. I think we’ll end up with him and Ingram when it’s all said and done. Not sure what will happen at the 4 though. We’d only have $5-10ish mil left, pending if McCain is traded (~$4 mil), the BI trade kicker (~$5 mil), and KCPs starting salary (??).

I mean, that's common sense. Klay is a just a traffic cone on defense today

With how the market is shaping up I’m a little afraid to see what KCP is going to get. Obviously a nice role player, but is he worth $20+ M? Seems like that’s the going rate for anyone decent with a pulse in the nba.

KCP will be $25m. I think there's better value out there.

Since I think we’re getting George this would probably be my preferred outcome.

Maxey/Lowry
Oubre/McCain/Melton
George/Council
Smith/Batum
Embiid/Bona

1. Sign George to a 4 year max.
2. Waiver Reed to create space to sign Jalen Smith.
3. Oubre gets the MLE
4. Lowry & Batum come back on vet minimums
5. Hopefully have a little extra to sign Melton or convince him to come back on a vet min

I like Ingram. He´s way more of a scorer than Tobias, but he shoots less from 3 than Harris... I think PG would be a way better fit( even if hes way older), but he doesnt seem to want to leave LA..

Spending almost $20M on Nance + Batum to be a below average PF duo would be a pretty horrific use of resources. Just get a good player if you’re going to spend that much.

What's 20M get you at PF in terms of an individual player in this market? Obi Toppin? Maybe Pat Williams if you're lucky?

Not that I'm pounding the table for an oft-injured Nance.

Trade for John Collins or DeAndre Hunter. Jalen Smith? Hell, I’d take Tauren Prince over Larry Nance too.
Just off the top of my head…there have to be better options.
I also don’t love Batum as much as most here. I think he got overrated just because he was an improvement over the lifeless body that was PJ. 12-15 mins a night on vet min I’d welcome Batum back, but I’d let him walk if he gets any other real offers.

What's not to like about Batum? I'd says pretty clearly better than Prince or Jalen Smith.

25 mil for KCP is nuts. Give me Klay on a 2 year, 40 mi deal over KCP at 3 for 75 mil

The problem with PG is even if he comes it will absolutely be his choice of last resort and he'll only come to secure the bag. I'm fearful he'll just pack it in. Horford vibes.

I really don't see Ballmer agreeing to a deal with GSW. If George opts in, I think Clippers would just let him play out this last year or trade him here to get back their own picks so they can tear it down and rebuild.

GSW is hoping and praying; but I just don't see Ballmer who is a prideful and emotional owner wanting to do a deal in the conference/division.

What’s the deadline for him to opt in?

I think Sunday, but not sure.

I believe it's the 29th. Then free agency starts the 30th.

FireMorey wrote:FWIW Kyle Neubeck said he gets the sense the Sixers still feel very good about their standing and plans heading into free agency. He said if the Sixers were not confident they were able to get things they want done, you'd hear spin coming out by now and the Sixers are not putting anything like that out there.

Basically what I saw a few pages back. Morey didn't use any of the "ambiguity" phrases that left the door open. I also still say our decision to address other positions and leave SF gaping open is a clear tell of Morey's confidence.

Then you ship his keister out. He'll still have value at the deadline. GSW ain't going anywhere and they want to give Steph on more run.

There are worse things than having PG for a year and then trading him for Wiggins and Kuminga or something.

CP3 moves his guarantee date back to June 30th to help GSW structure a trade.

Whether PG opts out tomorrow will tell the tale.
