Sixerlover, if you add Jameer would you be up for trading me either Hinrich or Nelson? The problem is, I'm not willing to move Monroe, Ibaka or Joel A so I might lack the ammunition to get a deal done.

Iverson323,

Josh Smith for Eric Gordon.

76ciology...

I might consider something with Gordon and Bosh if I can move Mayo in another deal and get a decent PF in return for him.

Also, if this trade with Sixerlover goes through, I'd be looking to ship off Amir Johnson+Ridnour to get a slightly better PG. Or maybe just Amir Johnson for another bench player.

Koponen...

One small problem with your offer....he doesn't own Daniel Orton.

I posted this in the FA thread last night. Orton was drafted by someone else and PK didn't update the draft list.

Here's a link to my post (which has a link to the picks that were made).

I know you say you won't move Ibaka, but what if I offered Nelson and Gortat for Ibaka and Jack?

Sorry, I really (over)value Ibaka, and a not looking to move him unless it was part of some blockbuster deal where he brought back an established star. Ibaka and Monroe are each under 22 years old. I see them as cornerstones for my team. Its nice to not have to worry about your starting bigs for the next 10 years, even if neither of them will be superstars. I see the pair as complementing each other and growing into a real strength.

That is not a criticism of the Polish Hammer or your offer.

I totally understand. That's a great combo moving forward, and they do match each others' skill sets very well. I am quite jealous, actually.

Your front-court is better than mine by a wide margin.

If I don't make any more moves, I could actually plug in Batum at the 2- he's capable of guarding opposing SGs and has a great stroke. Here's how I see my minutes working out right now:

PG: Nelson(28), Ridnour(20)
SG: Batum(22), L. Williams(26)
SF: Green(30), Batum(4)
PF: Love(32), Blair(16)
C: Gortat(28), Krstic(14), Love(6)

I'd be pretty happy with that because each of the 9 guys who would get time would be very solid NBA players. What I dislike most, I'd say, is that Blair and Krstic don't really get enough minutes. Would anyone be interested in taking on Blair and Krstic for a player who can get minutes at both the 4 and 5?

I agree, but I think you have a more complete team right now. Also, despite being more talented, I don't know if I can say that Love and Gortat are a better fit than Ibaka and Monroe.

You can play Batum at SG. No problem at all on defense.

My concern would be ball handling. Your PG's are not elite and Green is a below average ball handler at SF. So you might be susceptible to traps and would not generate much penetration, except when Lou is in the game.

On the flip side, Love can be a nice safety valve against traps, since he can dribble and is a great passer.

Jack, Brooks, Anthony

for

Jameer, Lou and Blair?

I'd be getting the better talent, so that might kill any chances right there... You would get guys who can play PG or SG and a more versatile/electric post defender that would be a great addition to your strong front-court. You could remove Lou/Brooks if you want. I don't have a strong preference between the two.

That was my thinking, as well. Love's playmaking ability and court vision will help me run a less than stellar ball-handling lineup. My thinking is that between Nelson, Ridnour, and Lou, I'll always have someone on the floor who I feel comfortable with running the offense and protecting the ball. Batum can handle a bit, too. I'm feeling better about this lineup the more I think about it. My rebounding and ability to create second-chance scoring opportunities will be unreal, as well.

Eh... I value Lou over either of the guards you're giving me, and Blair over Anthony. Sorry.
