Would you guys rather have:

A) #1 pick but Lakers pick does not convey (i.e. no other lotto pick), or
B) #3 and #4

?

For the sake of this hypo, let's say the Lakers improve a ton next year and are very late lotto, so their pick is meh when it conveys.

I'd say Ulis is a better prospect if he grew 6 inches overnight. Ulis is a freak. Those two are a recipe for a dominant college basketball team. It's up to the big men to seal the deal for us.

Uhhhh think you're forgetting Wall but yeah Murray is awesome.

I love the feel for the game that a lot of the top frosh seem to have this year. Must have had good coaches.

Wall was obviously more athletic but wasn't the decisionmaker at the same age nor the shooter (still isn't).

Brandon Knight is a poor mans Jamal Murray. Murray will be the reason UK wins it all.

3 and 4.

I'd walk away with Murray and Dunn from this draft and be ecstatic.

why did he fall off the radar a bit? I don't follow HS ball but I remember him getting "the next big thing" hype at one point...then he just kinda got lost in the sauce.

Which radar? I know he was a consensus top 10 incoming freshman.

I know that but IIRC he was talked about as the best player in class type hype....I could be thinking of someone else tho.

1# pick all day.

Get the guy you want for sure. We have been sniped the last two drafts (although the second time it may work out). Plus we's probably have the other two picks PLUS the lakers pick to dangle in trades for a slight move up. Get your guy and worry about it later.

HOWEVER, it depends on who we think that guy is and if the gap is that large. i haven't seen much on any of these guys yet

The refs did a pretty awful job in this game btw. Several ticky tack fouls on Skal and Ingram. Give the people what they want!

#1. We'll still have our pick next year which should be in the lotto, plus the Lakers pick.

Simmons is too good to pass on.

I've been slightly disappointed with Ingram's compete level in the early going. He looks like he's in that Perry Jones, Harrison Barnes, Andrew Wiggins spectrum of drifters that disappear for stretches. Maybe that's just foul trouble and Grayson Allen jacking up shots, though. We'll see if he turns it on.

Long way to go, I just remember in the stars from the last 2 classes came out of the gate dominating from the start. Skal & Ingram looked like **** tonight.

#1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3,4. In the NBA we know it is all about having the star. If Simmons shows he a potential future superstar Id' take that over 3 & 4 even if you told me 3 & 4 would end up having great careers.

Yea definitely. They really didn't let the bigs play tonight.

Those last two fouls on Skal were phantom.

Yes, the season is young, but this guy is an NBA player.

Thus far, he's not D'Angelo Russell in that he can beat his man off the dribble and FINISH at the rim. He isn't a black hole with the ball and moves off the ball constantly. His shot is wet (ignore his 3pt% for now, he had a miserable shooting game again NJIT).

He's still a freshman and is making freshman mistakes like the behind the back pass on the fast break that went to Duke. However, I haven't felt this confident with the ball in a UK guard's hands since Brandon Knight. He's the real deal.

This is why this is considered a down year. Ingram and Skal have potential but both can be forgotten 4 years into their career. Simmons is the safest pick but many question if he can ever become a legitimate scoerer. I said it before and I'll say it again. Skal or Ingram wouldn't be top 5 picks in next year's draft and probably Simmons wouldn't either

Skal and Ingram are both raw and I don't see either being a top 5 pick.

Haven't seen anyone mention Henry Ellenson from Marquette. Think he's in the same tier as Jaylen Brown, Murray, Rabb. We already have too many power forwards, but I could see him playing next to Okafor if we flipped Noel for a guard or wing.

Im taking Simmons over anybody not named Giles or Jackson. I also think Ingram > Tatum
