We'd actually be unloading salary in an Okafor for Mirotic deal.

Mirotic is an expiring RFA owed 5.8 million this year and nothing beyond.

Okafor is owed 4.8 million this year and 5 million next year.

So we'd be paying 1 million more this year (which doesn't matter because we're 8 million below the floor) but would have 5 million less committed next year.

There's very little downside for us to take a quick look at Mirotic, especially if Simmons isn't playing anytime soon.

So, if we put together all the rumors out there since last year, Jerry Colangelo vetoed a Jahlil Okafor trade to Boston for a BK pick at the 2016 trade deadline. He then engineered a coup to install his son as GM, who went on to torpedo the value of both Nerlens Noel AND Jahlil Okafor, even going as far as pulling the latter from games. Bryan then panics, sells as low as possible on Noel, while holding onto a diminishing asset in Okafor.

You couldn't handle this situation more poorly if you tried.
