well in the zone among the best of the best last night. (seems like a switch went off a couple weeks ago.)

Around the time he finished 8th among guards in the Eastern Conference all-star ballot. Yikes. If that wasn't a wake-up call nothing would be.

Who cares? Casual fans don’t like him because they only care about his shooting.

I don’t think so. And man, when will the time come for you to change your nickname?

Why do you ask? I asked a moderator to do it 9 months ago and they refused. I think they thought I was trying to change my identity to avoid warnings...instead of the fact I just didn't want Simmons name in my profile anymore

I can’t believe they were going to play/treat him. That is messed up.

If Simmons is done for the season, so mercifully is this group. But would it give Brown and Brand the excuse they need to run this mess back next year? That's my greatest fear next to any back issue Ben could have that might be recurring.

And don't worry, your warnings stay with your account even if you change your username.

Sounds like he really messed up his back, whoever cleared him to play should be fired immediately, if Brown buckled and relented under the pressure of Simmons wanting to play then he should be let go, whoever is responsible for playing him has to go. Playing injured guys is a theme for the Sixers.

Does anyone know if he’s had his MRI as yet? Fingers crossed it’s nothing serious and he’s dodged a bullet

he goes in for an mri tomorrow

initial reports say he was pretty emotional during his first check up.

doesnt sound good at all.

if he's done for the season then so are we and like someone else mentioned, if the FO uses this as an excuse to run it all back with the same cast again next season....i think i might off myself

I hope not. I want everyone to be healthy for that first round exit against the Miami heat. Last season all you heard was we were a couple bounces away from the finals . Our two stars came back with the same games. The F.O jumped the gun a bit by ignoring the fact that our two stars are still developing and you need pieces around them to help their continued growth. Maybe a first round exit will give everyone in the Org. a enlightened bop on the head.

You can almost see it now - Ben is shut down, we stagger in with the six seed and are dispatched in five games, and the injury narrative immediately starts. And next year we see Brett back with the same core with different bench pieces. What a potential nightmare.

You all are such pessimists. His MRI may come back with positive news. Simmons is emotional as he hates missing games, not because he thinks his back is broken or that he is out for the season.

Doubt his back is broken anyway. Could be a slipped disc.

99% of the population has back issues at some stage during their lives, and 99% of those resolve over time. Even a great deal of very serious back issues resolve themselves in time. The latest science says the main thing with a back injury is to basically keep moving within a range of movement that doesn't aggravate/resensitize the injury and you'll get over the issue much more quickly than if you "rested up".

I type this not really as a comment on Simmons injury but for other posters here who have/will have injured backs.
