Ben is better than Tobias rather move him to PF and surround him and Embiid with playmakers that can create and shoot.

Check the playoff numbers. Harris is clearly better.

Totally agree, but that horse left the barn and is long gone. Harris is here to stay (at least for this season) and it's only a matter of 'when', not 'if' Simmons gets traded.

I think Tobi will play better without Ben and with a guard who can space the floor.
Its because I find some of Tobi scoring opportunities being tougher with Ben clogging the lanes and you’d probably rely less on Tobi taking high volume 3s with a guard who can space the floor.
But for now, i think Tobi is better if your metric puts more value on scoring. But lets say Tobi and Ben are playing with the Nets, I do think Ben can be the better player.

Yeah, any of our players that attempt to iso in the halfcourt are going against an extra defender.

Sixers:

Kings pick swap option (top 5 protected)
Why for the Kings:
They have a surplus of guards. Tobias can play at SF or play with either Holmes or Bagley at PF. They also got the best scorer in the deal.
Teams usually favor trades that lands them the best player in the deal.
Why for the Sixers:
They got scoring depth. Hield and Barnes are complimentary player for Ben, Biid and Maxey. Its a trade that is transitioning Maxey into a bigger role.
But who’s gonna create down the stretch. We then let Maxey take that role. Dont act like its a big deal, as if you really want to rely on Tobi down the stretch lol
Kings thinks they can make the playoffs next season, they have to pay if they can’t with the pick swap.
Kings best 5:
Davion
Fox
Haliburton
Tobias
Bagley
Sixers best 5:
Maxey
Hield or possibly Milton
Barnes
Ben
Biid
Bench:Milton&Seth (really potent scoring punch)
If we can’t get Dame, we just need to keep overloading our squad with scorers to max out Ben.
Kings pick could also get us a scorer possibly better than Tobias.
I don’t think you’re getting a swap, but that’s okay. Trade’s good without it. I don’t think you can trade Danny until December 15, though.

Re: Tobias Harris Trade Thread
With Ben out, I think Tobi can have a bigger year than last season. And if we can have a winning record, he has a good chance to be an allstar this season.
I want to be high on him. But this same guy had trouble scoring against Kevin Huerter in the post
He said in his interview that he has worked on his 3pt shooting and shooting off the dribble. He has been trying to improve his step back jumper for the last two seasons but it’s been meh haha

Re: Tobias Harris Trade Thread
The only problem most of us have with Tobias is that he makes almost the max. If he would be making like $25M, it would be nearly a perfect player for that contract.
But it is what is, sometimes you have to overpay in this league.
If we find a good offensive player for Simmons that’s not afraid of the moment, I think it be a relief for Tobias as well. He’s just not the guy you can rely on down the stretch. But he’s very efficient, no question about it.

Is there any form of stat kept for air-balls?
My memory of notable Tobias plays has air-balls near the top.

Re: Tobias Harris Trade Thread
I'm predicting that Tobias easily gets into the ASG this year depending on how long this Ben Simmons situation goes unresolved. 24-26ppg 5apg, 7 rpg. He's going to have the ball in his hands quite a bit and will likely get more shots.

I wish they had searchable league leaders for getting their shot blocked. Tobias has to win that.
The most notable Tobias offensive plays involve his half-assed “creation” where he drives in actively avoiding contact and end with him getting his shot swatted into the fifth row.

Tobias has 12 games last year where he scored more 25+. It would basically be unprecedented for a mid prime aged player to make that sort of leap.

Buddy, you haven't met inefficient chucker Tobi yet. Someone other than Joel is going to need to create offense for this team.
I'm not saying it's going to be a "good" 25 ppg.

I think Tobi numbers stay almost the same. I would rather watch Maxey force more then Tobias. At least Tyrese can learn and improve from forcing a ton. Tobias is going to be just bad over and over again if he want him to put way more shots then he did last season.
He is what he is.

I think everyone can safely put the Tobi fantasy trades away; he's too important to the locker room/continuity and contributes too much to be traded at this time. Him being here >>> trading for cap relief.

If he does perform near an All Star level this season then I would trade him quick smart. Gets a lot of cheap points (transition, seagull) and is still very particular about his scoring always has been always will be.

I don't think he'll have the trade value you think he'll gain. Last year he had that and if you looked at the trade boards, there weren't many proposals/agreements from other teams' fans that would help the Sixers.DCasey91 wrote:If he does perform near an All Star level this season then I would trade him quick smart. I would guess other GMs will see the same thing you (and the Sixers/other fanbases) do.
