Four firsts and three swaps works for me, as long as a couple of them are some combination of unprotected/lightly protected.

Call it in! We can flip Beasley, McDaniels, and maybe like springer for someone like Brogdon? Maybe throw in one of our own firsts in one of the years that we get the Minnesota ones

And what exactly is he quoting.

edit: Oh it's a reference to an Athletic article

Even if the Wolves did include D’Angelo Russell in an offer — and they have talked all summer about building a team with Towns, Edwards and Russell around Simmons — it would not appear to be the magic bullet move that Morey needs to part ways with one of the best defensive players in the league … yet.

In conversations with teams in Las Vegas, I came away with the impression that the Timberwolves were the team that was most active in talks to try to make a Simmons deal happen.

Yeah decent source. I would be pleased

Jon K is MIN's most credible source, I think at the end of the day, no matter who is involved, MIN will probably give up all their picks for Ben

That article from the Athletic does not say they are offering four picks and three swaps. If they offered that the trade would already be done

Simmons is mentally fragile, it's pretty much a fact at this point.

And you can leave now, your boy won't play for Sixers anymore.

30th percentile isolation scorer...

His best attributes are defending and passing, while being eons worse than Ben at both. Okay, so Diet Ben Simmons.

Vassell is an okay throw-in prospect if you believe you can develop him beyond the fairly typical 3&D roleplayer he's trajecting into. ATM also can't shoot, or dribble. Non-existent FT rates in college.

I can't see how this trade would increase this rosters ceiling.

As a rule you are always going to lose a non-distressed asset trade with a team that is capable of maximizing a guy's abilities. Spurs and Celtics (before Brad left for the FO) are two of those teams.

Also, as a rule, never draft a Big 10 player high in the lottery (aka the Evan Turner rule).

This is false he grew up in the Twin Cities and is a fan boy he is simply a mouthpiece for the organization. He has absolutely zero credibility. If you listen to him on KFAN he has no clue about basketball.

I hope you're right as a Wolves fan. I would do this in a heartbeat as a Sixers fan considering the circumstances. No need to wait for a third team. We can flip those assets during the season for when a star becomes available. I hope Morey doesn't turn it down in favor of a worse deal just to try to win games during the first half of a meaningless regular season.

Yep and he’s the only one who breaks Wolves news. The guy has the pulse of that organization, and if he’s writing that in an article, it means the Wolves have at least thought about it.

You might be thinking about DWolfson, Jon K usually never creates any type of rumor that doesn't have any legs.

The deal should be brogdon and tj warren for simmons

Money matches up almost perfectly

We are instantly a MUCH better team. Injuries would be a question but **** they already are

I guess we won't be missing much since Ben is even more infrequently an isolation scorer than Murray. Additionally, Murray wasn't really the PG, but rather secondary ballhandler to DeRozan, a great fit for our offense and someone we had a chance at grabbing this offseason but decided to sit on it.

Mind you, Murray also was close to winning the fake honors of DPOY. The big difference is that Murray is a 15ppg scorer who shoots three 3FGA per game compared to Ben's what, .2 per game? He's an actual threat to hit shots.

I'll accept the concern about Vassell's FTr. It's his one blemish on a nearly flawless statline as a prospect. I think it's a worthy risk.

Murray, Vassell, Aminu, an unprotected 1st, and a protected 1st for Simmons and Milton is a good deal for both sides IMO.

The original Ben offer was supposedly Brogdon and 13.

Depends on the protection. Top 4 CYA protection? Sure, I get that. Lotto protection? Not unless there are also unprotected picks coming.

Sixers get Rubio, McDaniels, Prince, 22 and 24 swap rights w/MIN, 23 and 25 unprotected MIN 1sts
Cavs get Beasley
Wolves get Simmons

I’d do that, too.

Those Minnesota deals don't make any sense, not win now, not win later and not close to enough to trade for another star. Beasley is damaged goods and not the kind of guy you want in your locker room, or even your city. If you let the T'Wolves keep all of KAT, Edwards and DLo it damages the value of the picks. I'd rather he just not report than become Elton Brand and take that kind of trash. Teams are lowballing now after the Simmons cry for being saved from having to play in front fans and everyone else that has stood up for and protected him for so long. We have Morey for a reason and it is not to trade Simmons for a return that isn't even as good as Brett Brown could get for him. Everybody is posturing at this point. Don't cave.

If Dame really isn’t leaving then I would do it with like CJ roco, 25, and 27 firsts
