Wow, I can't believe Caleb Swanigan died. I was just thinking about him the other day while looking at some draft stuff. Way too young to die.

We better not trade #23 for a fossil like Tucker or Gordon. Happy to add those guys but not burning picks for them.

Eric Gordon was such an ideal #3 guy. It's a shame he was never slotted in that spot on the right team much in his career. 2018 in Houston was almost the magical year with Harden/Paul/Gordon but injuries.

I am starting to think we are all underrating Tobias Harris. He was damn good in the playoffs. If his salary were $20 million instead of ~$40 million he would be an important part of building a championship team. If Daryl can't turn his contract into 2 or 3 rotation players then we should keep him. And I never thought I'd be saying that.

The rumored Beal for Tobias and Maxey trade would be an absolute disaster. We'd be losing two starters and gaining a guy who is overrated and doesn't solve many of our problems. In fact, he'd probably be creating more problems than he'd solve.

If embiid wants tucker then no one should be complaining about it. When Tuckers playing that aggressive style and helping us big time in the playoffs then everyone will be kissing his ***. It's not our money so who cares really.

I also trust DM and if that's the vision then I'm behind it.

If we had Tucker this past post season then we'd probably of played in at least the ECF. Those rebounds would've been huge and his presence.

There's a reason they're the pros and we're just on a forum

Why are some of you pointing out that it's not "our money"? This isn't the MLB or the Premier League. Every move we do has salary cap implications and hurt future opportunities that might present themselves.

No one cares that Tucker is being paid, we care that we're stuck with that contract for 2, possibly 3 years as he becomes an ineffective husk of his former self.

I agree with you to an extent, but Tucker is getting up there and is due to fall off considerably soon. Dude isn't NBA old, he's straight up old now. If he's the biggest FA splash Morey makes this summer we are in big trouble.

If the money is equal, who is the better choice over a 2 or 3 year contract?

PJ Tucker or Thad Young?

I'd go Tucker. We do need some grit rather than skill. Our doghouse is bare lol.

Same "logic" homers used to whitewash giving that obscene contract to Tobias.

While they say "it's not our money so who cares?", that deal has been a franchise crippling albatross for years now.

When y'all start throwing "damn" in front of good that's when you lose me. No **** defender can be anything more than passable at best, and his offense is nothing special.

Wouldn't want PJ for anything more than 2 years with an option.

If any positive, Heatle fans desperately want him back

Keeping the cope train rolling, Eric Gordon was a 6'3 Giannis attacking the rim in '20-'21 lol.

Combined with being a bomber from deep. Would be a solid scoring 6th man I reckon that can insulate all of Maxey/Harden/Embiid.

I do think it somewhat reeks of desperation though if Morey is hinging his wagon onto the past successes of post-apex vets he's already familiar with instead of doing his job and discovering newer iterations of those same profiles.

Is Kyle Anderson out of that price range? I would much rather him to PJ Tucker. Also, I would much rather a guy like Lonnie Walker who is a RFA to Eric Gordon. Im really not feeling Morey's vision here.

Yeah, it really makes Morey look like a one trick pony if he builds Rockets East. His regime has actually done a very good job of drafting since he arrived which is a big reason why I think we should just keep our picks. Keep finding new young talent and prevent Morey from relapsing on ex-Rockets.

Think I'm pro Eric Gordon. Monster playoff shooter and scorer who's been chilling on a rebuilding team for two years. I think he'll come in and provide an explosive impact.

Sure let's get Eric Gordon. The question is what it will cost. Giving up our 1st for him would be foolish.

He's a good player and would help.

Kinda surprised people are willing to give up assets for him on a 2 year, 40M deal as a 6th man, while being concerned with MLE money, though the second year isn't likely to be guaranteed.
