I can see where you're going with the first three, but while Haliburton might be a more complete player than Reggie he will never be a fraction of the clutch shooter that Reggie was. And Tatum couldn't, as the cliche goes, even carry Kobe's jock.

The Wolves offense is very inconsistent. If Edwards can't take over games, they struggle offensively.

Jalen Brunson = Iverson
Joel Embiid = Ewing

The primary scorers down the stretch are best rested on defense.

Ant was exhausted in crunch time after spending all his energy defending Kyrie. The Mavs were also smart to keep pushing the ball, utilizing their 3-4-5 long, athletic, high-motor players who were running.

That's why, if we want to win with Embiid, we need to lighten his defensive load. Even Ant can get exhausted.

Players are shooting 90-216 (41.7 FG%) when guarded by Luka Doncic this playoffs.

That’s the lowest FG% when guarded by ANY player this playoffs.

I'd say Tatum is more like Reggie Miller than Kobe. Yea he drives sometimes, but he's usually chucking up 3s.

The one thing Tatum is badly missing in that comp is the clutch gene.

From the 4th quarter of game 6 all the way through game 7, he annihilated us. Came up clutch in this last game despite the game not needing to go into overtime due to Indy's ineptitude. I think he shows the clutch attribute at times, but it's after sucking for most of the game/series.

To me, game 6 last year was an anomaly. If Indy inbounds the damn ball once, he's a disappearing act instead of a hero. The Celtics were likely winning game 7 last year and the Indy game once it got to OT with or without his heroics.

I've always loved Brunson as a player, but that's a tough comparison. Totally different builds and styles, and Brunson has a long way to go to get to HOF level.

Brunson just had an Iverson like run these Playoffs, creating all the offense by himself in a team based on hustle, rebounding, defense. They play similar styles, even if the tools they use are not exactly the same, not a bad comparison at all.

Tatum is more of a Vince Carter or something like that than a Kobe.

Hali is the next Steve Nash.

Lol no he didn't. Iverson got to the finals, and beat an infallible Lakers team in game one.

He dropped 50 multiple times in the playoffs against the likes of the Raptors and the Bucks. He didn't flail around like Brunson after a finger nail touched him.

The only think Brunson did well was carry, and shoot well. Iverson also dealt with more injuries and still ended up playing.

And Iverson never grifted for fouls the way Brunson often does with that Trae Young move of his, and AI never had a supporting cast as good as this Knicks team.

But listen, Brunson has made himself into a truly great player, one of the elite players in the game today. There aren't too many players I would take over him to start a franchise.

I'm not saying he was as good, just a similar run and playstyle/team concept, so i can see the comparison.

He had a 40 point game stretch that wasn't done since Jordan, you can give the guy some credit.

He's a fine star, a franchise #1. Just don't think he can be termed to have an Iverson run when he couldn't even make it to the ECF.
