Noah is center though, Noel is PF so he needs to develop corner 3 or mid range jumper or the lane is going to be way too damn clogged.

He's going to be able to hit that mid range jumper in the future. I'm excited to see him continue to progress with it, and his increased aggressiveness driving the ball.

Noel is never going to develop a corner three and that's ok. First of all, Embiid has a really nice stroke which he'll be able to use to open up the floor at times. Second, Noah can tighten up his midrange J and work on other offensive skills (driving to the hole, floaters, etc) that will nicely compliment Embiid. They'll be fine and make it work. If Randolph and Gasol can make it work, so will Noel and Embiid.

Noel's creeping up on Wiggins PER, 13.00 to 13.11.

He is going to be the better rookie by the end of it but he has no shot of winning that trophy. ppg too stronk

Wiggins is still a negative player on both ends of the floor (-0.8 OBPM & -1.5 DBPM).

At least MCW was a plus defender as the award recipient.

Glad he finally got up to 220. Remember when they tried selling us that he was 228 at the start of the season?

PER up to 12.9. Still trending up. Just keeps getting better. That's what you hope with raw players. Expect a big jump in his second season.

FT's are crazy improved. Better than anyone expected. He started season 6-20 and since is at 65%. That from early or mid November. Unreal. He might be a 70% FT shooter next year which nobody would've predicted. Sweet.

Nerlens has gotten so much better at catching and finishing strong too. He used to always drop or fumble passes, don't see that very often anymore. I also love that he's going up strong and dunking it more often now, does it more often than before. Can't stand soft layups from such an athletic guy, especially given his below average touch.

I think he was just not used to real basketball at the start of the season, there was just too much time in between actual competitive games. He looks a lot more fluid and comfortable out there right now.

As of February 26 Noel was 31-41 shooting FT. Him getting hurt was probably the best thing to happen to him in a strange way

I always thought the the fumbling of passes was due to his rushing and lack of poise. He has settled down and is much more comfortable with the speed of the game.

The only thing that is still a bit of a concern is that we don't know how much of his comfort is due to playing his natural position of center.

Next year he will be forced to try to guard power forwards again away from the basket and he will likely struggle again. I expect him to eventually be able to do it, but he may regress next year a bit.

He's a center without a doubt. Either Embiid is our 4 or Noel becomes a back-up center. My only concern is Embiid as a 4 defensively, but offensively I don't think it's a stretch, especially if his practice shooting videos tell us anything.

I have no worries whatsoever with Noel guarding forwards. He obviously has the footspeed and lateral agility.
