Scary because that's how you know the man is entering washed territory. See Thibs.

My concern with Eric Gordon is the bad body and him now being mid-30s. The odds of him being fresh and healthy by playoffs are slim to none. So we're compounding the Harden issue.

Just use #23 on a skilled youngster to put on ice in the G-League and sign Malik Monk to the vet minimum to play the role you want for Eric Gordon. Way better idea, imo.

I like Monk a lot. No way LeBron lets the Lakers lose him though. He had a very strong March and April.

Jake Fischer reporting that Hawks want to trade John Collins before the draft starts which is an interesting rumor. Tobi/Matisse for Collins/Gallo?

Sam Hinkie wrote:I am starting to think we are all underrating Tobias Harris. He was damn good in the playoffs. If his salary were $20 million instead of ~$40 million he would be an important part of building a championship team. If Daryl can't turn his contract into 2 or 3 rotation players then we should keep him. And I never thought I'd be saying that.

The rumored Beal for Tobias and Maxey trade would be an absolute disaster. We'd be losing two starters and gaining a guy who is overrated and doesn't solve many of our problems. In fact, he'd probably be creating more problems than he'd solve.

Completely agree on any trade for Beal and especially any trade that involved Maxey.

Completely and vehemently disagree that Tobias could ever be an "important part of building a championship team". I've said it too many times already - at half the money he would still not be the type player you have in a key role on a contending team with championship aspirations. The only difference is that he's be infinitely easier to move.

Especially given Glenn's reluctance to load manage players with being fresh for the playoffs as the ultimate goal. Gotta pile up those wins, only 300 behind Pop. Legacy, you know.

How has Rudy Gobert not been traded yet?

Dame's situation reminds me of Iverson's in Philly. Jerami Grant is not the answer,

LMAO, what?! If I'm JRoy, I'd rather trade for Tobias than give up that much for OG.

Monk's getting more than the vet min. And even if he wasn't, he'd just stay in LA.

Call me Candyman.

I’d rather rebuild but I was pretty sure they would take this path anyway.

At least we haven’t traded for Tobe Wan Kenobi yet.

It's going to be sad to not pawn Tobi off on you guys anymore. It seems the Blazers are doing anything to not let that happen, including a top 10 pick for a C&S role player!

OG is a fine player, but he’s a role player. POR needs top shelf talent, above even the lofty status of Tobias Harris or Julius Randle.

So Harrison Barnes is just another guy ahead to keep Jalen Johnson buried on the bench. Instead of wasting assets to make room and overpaying an old geezer to be our defensive F, why not trade for Jalen Johnson?

Speaking of Harrison Barnes, I can't wait for GSW to trade Wiggins to Sac for Barnes and the 4th pick. Shed salary, get Barnes in his prime and get the 4th overall pick. Watch Wiggins turn back into a pumpkin on a non-Warriors team.

OG is not a roleplayer lol. If he is a roleplayer Tobias Harris is a 37 million dollar per year role player. OG is a quality NBA starter. If we had him instead of Harris we would be much better. He is a better athlete and much younger and still getting better. He averaged 17 points a game on a 48 win team and shot over 50% from the field and 36% from three at 24. Yeah he is just like Matisse Thybulle lol. OG is better then Tobi.

A "quality NBA starter" is a role player... What you're describing here is a roleplayer.

Yes, OG would be better than Tobi here because Tobi is under the illusion he's more than a role player. We don't need that.
